3 HOW THE JOURNEY BEGAN Long ago, a tiny screaming creature came into the world. She was blonde, spunky, and had blue eyes that glimmered with entrepreneurship. As time passed, the fire began to burn inside of her as she struggled to find her calling. Her passion for creating came to life one day as she slaved over a small batch of handmade candles in her tiny kitchen in the late hours of the night. When her friends and family caught wind of her late-night creations, they all wanted to support her passion and began purchasing these amazing creations by the case. As the brand and business evolved, the older and wiser woman realized the direction and purpose of her entrepreneurial passion, but knew she couldn t do it alone. She called upon the best man in all in the land, her dear old Dad, to come to her rescue and he became her partner in crime. This small kitchen operation spread to her Dad s garage and now into their 1,500-square foot manufacturing facility located in beautiful Bend, Oregon at the base of the Cascade Mountain Range. The duo continues to take pride in the hand-poured products that they create, with their amazing staff by their side. ABOUT OUR CANDLES Here at Broken Top Candle Co. we take the candle making serious. From concept to final product, we strive to create nothing but the best. How do we do this? Our candles, melts, and gift packs are crafted by hand, using the industry s highest quality 100% U.S. grown soy wax, natural cotton wicks, and phthalate free fragrances and essential oils. Each batch is poured in small quantities to ensure the best quality and product performance. Our candles are hand-poured in ONLY pure soy. No dyes or additives are used which may leave the appearance of the candle with a bloom, shift-in color, or frosting. Remember, this is a good thing, besides, everyone loves frosting! Happy burning!

The name of the company comes from our geographic location to which the product is made. Our flagship manufacturing facility in Bend, Oregon. Bend sits at the base of the Cascade Mountain Range which runs from British Columbia down to California. The Cascade Ridge is made up of several volcanic and non-volcanic mountains. The Range includes Mount Rainier, which is the largest peak sitting at 14,411 feet and Mount St. Helen s which erupted in Bend is surrounded by several of these volcanic and non-volcanic mountains including Mt. Bachelor (most popular), the Three Sisters, and Broken Top. Broken Top is classified as a stratovolcano which last erupted over 100,000 years ago. The highest peak of the mountain sits at 9,179 feet. WHY CHOOSE SOY WAX CANDLES? WHAT IS SOY WAX? Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated. The hydrogenation process converts some of the fatty acids in the oil from unsaturated to saturated. WHAT IS PARAFFIN WAX? Paraffin wax is a white or colorless soft solid derivable from petroleum, coal or oil shale, that consists of a mixture of hydrocarbon molecules containing between twenty and forty carbon atoms...sounds healthy, right? SO, WHAT S THE DIFFERENCE? Let s talk nature... For starters, soy wax is all-natural baby! Made from soybeans that are grown by local, U.S. farmers (can you believe it, real life people grow this stuff!). Where paraffin wax is made from petroleum, yes, renewable, but healthy? Not so much! Paraffin candles and other petroleum based products omit nasty carcinogenic substances when burnt, who knew!? These pollutants are more likely to cause allergies (burning nose, watery eyes) and poor air quality in your home. Plus, soy is biodegradable! It s all about the burn... The slow burn that is! Did you know that soy wax lasts 40-50% longer than traditional paraffin wax? Soy wax burns cooler which means you get that yummy goodness for longer. So, think of that soy candle as an investment, not an expense! Soy also holds scent better for this reason. The slow burn illuminates scent pockets and allows for a slow fragrance distribution. Cleaner way of life... Imagine a Mac Truck with a load of petroleum driving through your living room, and stopping (while leaving the truck running) for a coffee break. This my friends, is what you invite into your home when you chose paraffin. Nummero Uno reason (if you had to pick just one) for buying soy. No black smoke, no soot covered walls, just a slow and clean burn. And soy wax is water soluble! It cleans up with mild soap and warm water. No more chipping away at wax on the carpet, or covering that dripped wax with a rug. We are all guilty of impulse purchasing. The candy bar in the impulse isle or that amazingly scented, overpriced, Pumpkin scented candle at our favorite retail therapy location. We are up for the impulsive purchases up in here, but do yourself a favor, buy soy!

20 TERMS & CONDITIONS OUR CANDLES Our products are handcrafted using only premium U.S. grown soy bean wax, all natural cotton braided wicks, and phthalate free fragrance oils infused with essential oils. All of our products are lead free, zinc free, and paraffin free with packaging and containers manufactured and sourced here in the United States. Each candle is hand poured to perfection and shipped from our hometown of Bend, Oregon. MINIMUM ORDER There is a $300 first time opening order minimum. All reorders must reach $150 to qualify for any promotions or specials. Please remit orders to, brokentopcandleco.orders@gmail.com. SAMPLES With initial purchase of 11 oz. glass case packs, you will receive one 2 oz. Travel Tin as a sample. Samples will not be included in reorders, unless purchased at $3.50 each (sold individually). Luxury Line case packs will receive one 1 oz. Black Travel Tin as a scent sample. Additional samples may be purchased at $3.00 a piece. PAYMENTS All orders to be paid in full to Broken Top Candle Company prior to order shipping. Terms may be requested on established accounts. Please contact us for application requirements at brokentopcandleco@gmail.com. SHIPPING Wholesale orders are shipped via UPS Ground Shipping Service within 1-4 business days of order being received. Expedited Shipping and alternative shipping methods are available. Processing times may be prolonged during high volume months. Buyer is responsible for any returns, exchanges, expedited shipping, and overall shipping costs. Monthly or annual promotions may offset these costs. Please contact us for any current wholesale specials or promotions. DAMAGES Our candles are all packaged to the best of our ability to protect from damage during shipping. Should you receive a package with damaged product, please us at brokentopcandleco.sales@gmail.com within 7 calendar days of receiving your product. Please do not discard any shipping materials until a claim has been filed. RETURNS AND EXCHANGES If buyer is for any reason unsatisfied with product selection, an exchange or return may be made within 7 calendar days of receiving product. Candles and their containers must be in the EXACT condition received; have not been lit, scratched, labels removed, and in original packaging, etc..
