1 Expert Lotto Tips & Tricks The filtering tips & tricks found here are not setup as a continuous plan. Some tips will tell you to load a full package of combinations. Nothing found in these pages are set in stone they can be altered. The idea is to show you how to do things and spark your imagination to help you get started toward a jackpot win. Standard Deviation Number Occurrence Understanding standard deviation: Skipping all of the real technical stuff I will give you the low down. If you load a full package and set the standard deviation filter to the best range for your lottery and then run the filter the resulting numbers in the occurrence column of statistics will always be the same no matter what the WNH is. In my 5/39 the best standard deviation range is 8 to 16, if I load a full package of 575,757 combinations and run the standard deviation filter leave 8 to 16 the resulting number occurrences come out like the example and these results will occur every time. The only time the results will be different is when you do filtering before you run the standard deviation filter. Now with this done I will choose the top 13 numbers (with a 6/49 choose the top 16 numbers) and highlight them and go to visual winning numbers and see which numbers are within the top 13 or 16 occurrences and how they were drawn in the past drawings. Now do the next 13 or 16 numbers and see how they come out, interesting how the numbers stay together. I have no strategy for standard deviation at this time but maybe after seeing this example of standard deviation some of you can come up with your own ideas on how to use this to your advantage. Top 13 Middle 13 Last 13 Now if we go to the stats for sum you will see that the sum range has tightened up some by removing unlikely sum values. For a 5/39 the min sum is 15 and the max sum is 185 but, after filtering for standard deviation 8 to 16 the new sum range is now min 31 and max 169 which is still quite a wide sum range and there are a lot of sums that will rarely be drawn if they are ever drawn at all. Once you know the optimum sum range for the lottery game you are playing, you will then be able to adjust the sum filter to its optimum settings.

2 Sum Range The sum filter will act the same as the standard deviation in the affect that, if you start with a full package and choose a sum range that works well with the lottery game that you re playing and you filter the full package with the same sum range every time, the numbers will fall in the same occurrences every time. The only time the numbers will be different by occurrence is when you filter the full package before using the sum filter. The WNH will have no effect on how the numbers occur in the statistics occurrence column. Number Occurrence Top 13 Middle 13 Last the number occurrences will always be the same if you use the same settings every time. I m working with a 5/39 and the optimum sum range for my lottery is 80 to 119 most of the time but, the sum range trends change and run from 60 to 129. For this example I used the sum range of 80 to 119. The example to the left is a full package of 575,757 combinations first filtered with the standard deviation filter 8 to 16 and then filtered with the sum filter 80 to 119. No matter what the WNH are the numbers will always fall within the same occurrences if no other filters are used. So basically you start with a full package and filter with the standard deviation filter and then the sum filter in both cases the numbers will always fall within the same occurrences in the occurrences column of the statistics and if the numbers drawn are within the standard deviation range and within the sum range used the jackpot combination will be within the resulting combinations. One problem at this point is that there will still be too many combinations to play affordably. The thing I wanted you to see was that by using these filters

3 Odd/Even & Successive Numbers Number Occurrence Here again the odd/even and successive numbers filters will work the same way that the standard deviation and sum filters work, no matter what the WNH numbers are, if you use the same settings for the odd/even and successive numbers filters ever time, the number occurrences will be the same every time. In the 5/39 the most common settings for the odd/even is remove 0/5 and 5/0. The most common settings for the successive numbers filter is remove four and more successive numbers, remove three successive numbers count 1, and remove two successive numbers count 2. The example to the left reflects these settings plus, the standard deviation and sum filter have been used also with the settings used in the previous examples. I used the two filters together as odd/even filter breaks the number up into two groups and neither filter removes very many tickets when used separately. Top 13 Middle 13 Last 13

4 Number Groups Number Occurrence The number groups filter works like the other filters, no matter what the WNH is the numbers will fall within the same occurrences every time if the same settings are use every time. I set my number groups to match decades (decades being 1 s, 10 s 20 s, and 30 s). The groups are 1 9, 10 19, 20 29, and 30 39, there are four groups and the most common drawn is min 0 to max 3 in all four groups and check that tickets falls into 3 to 4 number groups. The example to the left reflects number groups filter and all of the other filters previously covered at the settings described in each section. Like I said no matter what the WNH numbers are they will not affect the number occurrences. Top 13 Middle 13 Last 13 Some of you at this point might be thinking HEY, what happened to the low/high filter? Well I ll tell you, at this point all of the low/high numbers of 0/5 and 5/0 have already been filtered out by using the other filters and there is no need to filter low/high at this point unless you want to filter out 1/4, 4/1, 2/3, or 3/2.

5 Position Filter/Number Range Number Occurrence Everybody should have a favorite positional number range that is used every time and like all of the other filters covered, if you use the same positional number range every time the number occurrences will always come out the same. This is the positional number range settings that I use for my 5/39 lottery. If note at the bottom, the total ticket count after using all of the filters covered and the positional number range filter that I have reduced the total ticket combinations by 58%. You don t have to use my settings as I just wanted to show everybody that by using these filters and keeping with your favorite settings for the lottery game that you play the number occurrences will always be the same no matter what the WNH is. The example to the left is what the number occurrences will be every time if I use all of the filters covered at the settings that I used in all of the examples. Top 13 Middle 13 Last 13 What I m showing you here is that these filters are basic and no matter what the WNH is the number occurrences will always remain the same. The settings that you make for each of these filters covered are the settings that represent the most common occurrences of the number combinations drawn for your lottery and once you have them tweaked out to your satisfaction you should never need to change them. There are other filters that can be used along with the ones I covered here that the WNH will not affect the outcome of the occurrences. Filters that were not covered here that are not affected by the WNH and can be set based on common occurrence of numbers drawn are Panel, Ticket Number Range, Number Distance, Ticket Index, and Number Movement Position. Filters that do not deal with segments or WNH differences are considered basic filters and can be set based on common occurrences of the drawn numbers which in turn, can be used to build a pre filtered set of combinations that can be saved and used over and over again without having to re filter a full package of combinations for the basic most common occurrences of the numbers draw in your lottery. This will save you time so that you can focusing on more important filters such as segments and WNH differences. In the examples that were covered you should know that when you have built a pre filtered package that really there is no reason to think that the top occurring numbers will be drawn in the next drawing. You must remember that the pre filtered combinations will always be the same and have the same number order of occurrence every time unless you change one or more of the basic filter settings.

6 TIP: Learn all or as many of the basic filters as you can and make your settings for each filter that you are planning on using and build a group filter for the basic filters then, make a pre filtered set of combinations and save them for later use. This way you will have a reference of the settings that you originally used if incase you decide to do some experimenting and forget what the original settings were. Also, you can use the saved pre filter combinations every time you do an analysis for the next drawing and you are saving time by not having to filter a full package of combinations for the basic most common occurrences so that you focus on the segments and WNH differences filters. Filtering for WNH Differences What we are going to do here is filter the 11 columns WNH differences down to the most likely difference distributions before we do any other filtering. The first thing that you will need to do is find the common occurrence of difference distribution for the neg/pos difference groups based on decades (1 s, 10 s, 20 s, 30 s). You will need to have Excel to use the provided spreadsheet, click on the paperclip icon to open the spreadsheet. The Excel spreadsheet will be read only, you will have to rename it save it to have a working copy. Go to the WN History page and the Neg/Pos Differences, click update and export to save the table. Load the dates and differences into the excel spreadsheet leaving out columns neg, pos, min, and max. The spreadsheet will calculate Unique differences, differences between 20 and 20 and difference ranges 30 to 39, 20 to 29, 10 to 19, 1 to 9, 9 to 1, 19 to 10, 29 to 20, and 39 to 30. Spreadsheet Example In the spreadsheet example rows you can see the draw dates, the differences drawn for each date, the unique differences count, the 20/20 difference count, and the difference counts for all of the decade ranges. Each count represents how many differences appeared within the 11 columns for each drawing. You will want to use sort/filter to find the best column count range for your lottery. In row 201 I have already made my counts and listed the best count ranges for each difference range, I used a 75% hit rate to get my count ranges. We are going to use the difference column count ranges in the Winning Number History Filter to filter out unlikely combinations for the next drawing. Once you have made your counts you should never need to do the counts again but, you may want to load the data into the spreadsheet after every drawing to help you make tighter predictions for the next drawing by changing a count when filtering. You may want to set the 20 to 29 difference range to 0 predicting that there won t be any differences in the 20 s range drawn in the next drawing. WNH Unique Col Differences Once you have your difference distribution counts, you will want to load a full package and calculate stats for winning numbers, this will save some time. Show stats for WNH Unique Col Differences and click occurrences column to show descending order. Most likely the 2 top occurrences of unique column differences will be 10 and 11, highlight the 2 top occurrences and filter leave, do not worry about at least setting, leave it as is by default.

7 Winning Numbers History Filter Go to Filters, Winning Numbers History, Sums and click Lookup Min & Max Ranges. Now you can start filtering the differences ranges by using The Difference in ## to ## columns is at most ## to ##. One of the first things that I like to do is remove all of the 0 differences but, this is up to you. For any difference range that's to be removed use the difference in 1 to 11 columns is at most such as in the case of diff 0 and diff range of 30/34. If you are going to remove all of the lowest differences from 40 down find the lowest difference such as 107 you will want to setup and run the filter like the example. Next you want to filter all of the difference ranges to their optimum distribution ranges using Leave. Now, in the ranges that have column distributions of 0/2 or 0/1, you might want to just remove the ranges altogether if you feel none of the differences within those particular ranges will not be drawn or you just want to play a tighter WNH differences range. Remember the 20 to 20 difference range counts we looked up in the simulation back test earlier? Now is the time to use it. Now that you have all of the filtering done to this point you can Lookup Min & Max Ranges and click Ok. Go to the statistics page and calculate stats for tickets in the package. You have filtered around +/ 80% of the combinations. WNH Hit & Skip Diffs Show stats for WNH Hit & Skip Diffs and set the latest past draws to 300 and calculate stats. Going through each column 0 to 10 set the Latest column to ascending and highlight the n/a s and the last drawn difference which will show as 1 and remove them with the filter, do this for both positive and negative differences. After you are done filtering all of the columns, you can go to show stats for ticket numbers and calculate stats. Go to the winning numbers history filter and lookup min & max ranges and click ok. You do not have to use 300 latest past draws, you can set this to whatever you want but, I use 300. These tips on filtering for WNH differences are just that, tips to help you get started on your own ideas of how you want to filter for WNH differences. At this point we have filter out around +/ 90% of the combinations and you still have plenty of filters left to work with.

8 WNH Hit & Skip Differences Filtering 1. Load a full package and calculate stats for tickets in package. 2. Go to statistics>wnh Hit & Ship Diffs. 3. Starting with Differences set to negative, group size 1, column 0, click on the latest column one time to show the latest hits in ascending order. 4. Highlight all of the rows that have an n/a and hold down the Ctrl key and highlight all of the rows where the latest hits are 100 and higher. 5. Click on the filter button and then click on the remove button. Do not use the leave button as this will remove all of the positive diffs from the column you are working in. 6. After filter has run calculate stats and move to column 1 and follow steps 4 & 5, do this for all of the columns. 7. Once you have filtered all of the columns for negative diffs, go back to column 0 and filter all of the positive diffs the same way. Tip: When filtering the positive diffs you can also include the 0 diffs for removal if you would like as this will bring down the amount of combinations even farther. I consider this a limited risk strategy as I have come to the conclusion that there is really no such thing as safe filtering. Any time you remove numbers or combinations you are taking a risk.

9 Occurrence of Distinct History Differences and Distinct History Difference in Columns This is the Occurrence of Distinct History Differences filter setup for the Ohio 5/39. These settings should work for most 5/39 s but may need to be adjusted according to your lottery. I run this filter first as it's a general coverage filter. Then after looking at the Distinct Diffs Count in the WN History Summary Table I decide that certain columns will not repeat the last drawings difference count in the next drawing, I change it using the Distinct History Difference in Columns filter. I have run the Occurrence of Distinct History Differences filter as shown above and now I m looking at the Distinct Diffs Count in the WN History Summary Table. I see that in the last drawing a count of 3 was drawn in columns 0 and 8. I don t think that a 3 will be drawn in those columns in the next drawing so I want to remove the 3 from those columns. So I want to remove the count of 3 from columns 0 and 8 for the next drawing as I don t think that 3 s will be drawn in those columns in the next drawing. I place check marks in columns 0 and 8 and I place check marks in the 3 box leaving all other boxes un checked. I set the count min/max to 0/0, click the Leave button under Matching Tickets and run the filter by clicking OK. This will remove the 3 s from columns 0 and 8 and leave any other difference counts in place. This is the Distinct Difference Count of the next drawing and we see that my intuition was correct and the 3 was not drawn in columns 0 or 8 in the next drawing.

10 You must understand that results may vary and counts can and do repeat. I m just trying to show you how to use these two filters together to your advantage. WN History Simulation Differences Increase/Decrease Filtering Load a full package, update your WNH, go to WN History>Simulation and set Simulation Tickets to Tickets in the Package and run the simulation. Open Filters>Winning Numbers History Filter and Lookup Min & Max Ranges and click Ok. Now set the Min/Max differences in the Winning Numbers History Filter to match the simulations increase/decrease projection. Set At Least 6 to 8 columns must pass, set the filter to Leave and run the filter. This will adjust the differences so that if 6 to 8 of the columns increase/decrease are correct you will have the jackpot combination and it will reduce the amount of combinations significantly. The average amount of columns correctly projected by the simulation is 7. Most drawings I have range between 6 to 8 correct but you will find times when the amount of columns correct are outside that range. You can change the range to make it wider but then you will have more combinations left after filtering. It would be a good idea to keep track of the simulations increase/decrease hit rate accuracy as it may be different for your lottery game. TIP: I like to run the simulation with a full package and log the increase/decrease results for later use. Work the Statistical WNH Hit & Skip Differences strategy first and then go back to Filters>Winning Numbers History Filter and Lookup Min & Max Ranges. Set the Min/Max differences in the Winning Numbers History Filter to match the simulations increase/decrease projection. Set At Least 6 to 8 columns must pass and set the filter to Leave and run the filter.

11 WNH Segment Filtering in the Statistics Section I m going to show you some little tricks using the segments statistics table. The examples are for the Ohio 5/39 and you will have to adjust the settings that will work for your lottery. The latest or past drawing tool is your friend if used correctly. Depending on what type of filtering you are doing will depend on how it should be set. For this strategy I have set it for the last months worth of past drawings. The Ohio 5/39 is drawn daily so I set the past drawing history to 28. For the Ohio 5/39 I set the latest drawing to 28 with a full package loaded and highlight all of the rows in the latest column that have an n/a, click filter, remove, ok. I do this for all columns 0 thru 10. This will reduce the amount of combinations greatly. Of course you will have to find the latest setting that works best for your lottery. Have you ever wondered what Column: Total was good for? First, with my segment defaults set a 3/9 the segments 0 5 0, 5 0 0, and rarely appear in any drawings so I use the column: Total to remove them from all columns. One thing that you must realize is that segments are linked to other segments in other columns so, if I try to remove all of the segments that have a 5 in them they all may not be removed due to being linked; I may have to remove them one at a time. Now the really cool thing about Column: Total segments, based on you segment default settings there should be certain segments that appear in nearly every drawing. Highlight the segment or segments that you feel will appear in the next drawing and click on filter, leave, and ok. This will leave all combinations that contain the segment s that you chose and remove all combinations that do not contain those segments.

12 Repeating Numbers from the last draw There may or may not be repeat number from the last draw, you have about a 50/50 chance of one of the numbers being drawn in the next drawing. I ll show you a few things that you can do to cover yourself in this area. In the statistics page show stats for ticket positions and calculate stats for tickets in the package. Set the latest column to ascending and highlight the last drawn number in position 1 and click on filter, remove, Ok. This filters out this number for position 1 only leaving it for possible repeat in another position. Filter all positions like this, many times if a number repeats it may not repeat in the same position. Here in statistics page show stats for ticket numbers click on the latest column to show ascending order, this will bring all of the last drawn numbers to the top. Highlight the last drawn numbers and click on filter. Set At least 0 to 1 in each ticket, Leave, and click Ok. This will filter all combinations so that there are only 0 to 1 number from the last drawing in all of the combinations for the next drawing.
