1 DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY HUNTINGTON DISTRICT, CORPS OF ENGINEERS 02 EIGHTH STREET HUNTINGTON, WEST VIRGINIA REPLY TO ATTENTION OF July, 201 Regulatory Division South/Transportation Branch LRH MAU Maumee River HEN/LUC-2-.2/0.00, PID 811 Mr. Timothy Hill 180 West Broad Street, Mail Stop 10 Dear Mr. Hill: This letter is in response to the fifth year monitoring report and amended report for the construction of 21.8 miles of -lane highway from the United States (U.S.) Route /2 interchange near Napoleon to the U.S. Route 2/Interstate interchange between Waterville and Maumee in Henry and Lucas Counties, Ohio. The fifth year monitoring report was received by this office on January 2, 201, and the amended report was received on September 0, 201. These reports document the ecological success of the North Turkeyfoot Creek and Dry Creek Mitigation Areas in Liberty and Washington Townships, Henry County, Ohio. The United States Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) previously completed Preliminary Jurisdictional Determinations (PJDs) and Approved Jurisdictional Determinations (AJDs) for the aquatic resources at each mitigation area. The Corps completed a PJD/AJD for the Dry Creek Mitigation Area on December, 201, and a PJD/AJD for the North Turkeyfoot Creek Mitigation Area on December 1, 201. Based on our review of the information provided in the monitoring reports, the site visits completed on July, 201, and the PJD/AJD for each mitigation area, the Corps has determined you have fulfilled all monitoring requirements and no additional monitoring is required. A copy of this letter and the enclosed maps has been provided to those on the attached Recipient List. If you have any questions concerning the above, please contact Brett C.
