1 1 OF 15 A 1. PURPOSE: Instructions for replacement of Diamondback Upholstery. 2. SCOPE: Diamondback Gunner Seats. 3. PROCEDURE: 3.1. Materials Required: (QTY :1) C UPH/FLIP BACK CORDURA BLACK Or R UPH/FLIP BACK CORDURA UCP/FR (QTY :1) C UPH/FLIP CUSH CORDURA BLACK Or R UPH/FLIP CUSH CORDURA UCP/FR (QTY :11) RIVET\1/8-1/4 GRIP\3/16" \SS 3.2. Tools Required: Rivet tool Portable Drill /64 Drill bit or equivalent Figure 1 (Required Tools)

Process: Removal of the current upholstery Remove the 3/16 diameter stainless steel rivets that attach the back plate to the back frame by using the 13/64 drill bit and portable drill to drill through the rivets (see Figure 2). Rivet Figure Pull the rear flap of the back upholstery from the hook and loop tape mounted on the back frame (see Figure 3).

3 3 OF 15 A Figure Pull apart the hook and loop tape on the side of the back upholstery (see Figure 4). Figure Pull the front flap of the back upholstery off of the back frame while pulling the upholstery up and off the back frame (see Figure 5).

4 4 OF 15 A Figure Pull the rear flap from the seat cushion upholstery down and away from the seat frame (see Figure 6). Figure 6

5 5 OF 15 A Pull the front and side flaps from the seat cushion upholstery down and away from the seat frame (see Figure 7). Figure Pull the seat cushion upholstery off of the seat by pulling it and the foam to the front of the seat (see Figure 8). Figure 8

6 6 OF 15 A Unhook the hook and loop tape from the bottom flap on the back upholstery (see Figure 9). UNHOOK HOOK AND LOOP Figure Unhook the hook and loop tape from the middle flap on the back upholstery (see Figure 10). UNHOOK HOOK AND LOOP TAPE

7 7 OF 15 A Figure Pull the upholstery off of the foam; starting with the bottom of the upholstery and working towards the top (see Figure 11). PULL UPHOLSTERY Figure Unhook the hook and loop tape from the bottom flap on the back upholstery (see Figure 12).

8 8 OF 15 A UNHOOK HOOK AND LOOP TAPE Figure Pull the upholstery off of the foam; starting with the back of the upholstery and working towards the front (see Figure 13). PULL UPHOLSTERY Figure Application of new upholstery.

9 9 OF 15 A Starting with the seat cushion foam and upholstery, P/N: R (Camo) or C (Black), insert the front of the foam into the front of the upholstery and tuck the foam neatly into the cover pulling the back of the cover over the back of the foam (see Figure 14). PULL UPHOLSTERY Figure Pull the side flaps on the seat cushion upholstery tightly together and fasten the hook and loop tape on these flaps (see Figure 15). FASTEN HOOK AND LOOP TAPE Figure 15

10 10 OF 15 A Insert the top of the back foam into the top of the upholstery, P/N: R (Camo) or C (Black), and tuck the foam neatly into the cover pulling the bottom of the cover over the bottom of the foam (see Figure 16). PULL UPHOLSTERY Figure Pull the side flaps on the seat cushion upholstery tightly together and fasten the hook and loop tape on these flaps (see Figure 17). FASTEN HOOK AND LOOP TAPE

11 11 OF 15 A Figure Fasten the hook and loop tape on the bottom flap to the side flaps on the back upholstery (see Figure 18). FASTEN HOOK AND LOOP TAPE Figure Push the back of the seat cushion under the back frame (see Figure 19).

12 12 OF 15 A Figure Pull the rear flap on the seat cushion upholstery down and fasten it to the hook and loop tape on the underside of the seat frame (see Figure 20). Figure 20

13 13 OF 15 A Push down on the top of the seat cushion foam while pulling down on the front flap of the upholstery. Fasten the hook and loop tape on the front and sides of the cushion upholstery to the hook and loop tape on the seat frame (see Figure 21). Figure Pull the back upholstery and foam onto the top of the back frame. Push the front of the upholstery and foam onto the back frame to fasten the hook and loop tape (see Figure 22).

14 14 OF 15 A Figure Fasten the hook and loop tape on the two small side flaps on the back upholstery (see Figure 23). Figure Pull down on the rear flap on the back upholstery and fasten to the hook and loop tape on the back frame (see Figure 24).

15 15 OF 15 A Figure Place the back plate onto the back frame with non-skid surface facing out and align holes in plate to holes in frame. Use a sharp object to puncture holes in the fabric for the rivets. Insert 3/16 diameter rivets, P/N: , into holes and fasten using the rivet tool (see Figure 25). Rivet Figure INSPECTION: 4.1. Check that upholstery is pulled tightly and there are no stains or rips Check that the back plate is firmly attached with non-skid surface on the outside.
