1 1 OF 25 E 1. PURPOSE: Instructions for the installation of the Textron Belt Relocation Kit. 2. SCOPE: Textron Driver and Commander Seats. 3. PROCEDURE: 3.1. Materials Required: (QTY :1) KIT/BELT/3PT/RELOCATE/DRIVER Or KIT/BELT/3PT/RELOCATE/COMMANDER (NOTE: All necessary hardware is supplied with kit) 3.2. Tools Required: /2 socket and wrench /8 socket and wrench /32 hex bit socket /16 hex bit socket /4 hex bit socket /16 wrench Ratchet Portable Drill /32 Drill bit and smaller

2 2 OF 25 E 3.3. Process: Figure 1 (Required Tools) Removal of the current belt Remove the 5/16 hardware that attaches the seat to the height adjustable mount in the vehicle by using the appropriate tools (see Figure 2).

3 3 OF 25 E Figure Remove the 7/16 hardware securing the shoulder retractor to the seat back by using the 5/8 socket and ratchet (see Figure 3). Figure Remove the 5/16 and 7/16 bolts securing the guide loop to the seat back by using the 1/2 socket, 5/8 socket, and ratchet (see Figure 4).

4 4 OF 25 E Figure Remove the 5/16 hardware securing the belt mounting tab to the riser by using the 1/2 socket, ratchet, and wrench (see Figure 5). Figure Remove 3/8 hardware securing the receptor to the riser by using the 9/16 wrench, 7/32 hex bit socket, and ratchet (see Figure 6).

5 5 OF 25 E Figure Remove the seat cover and foam from the seat by unhooking the Velcro on the back flap and front flap on the cover (see Figure 7). Figure 7

6 6 OF 25 E Modification of the current seat components to work with the Three Point Belt Relocation Kit Using the portable drill and drill bits, drill two 15/32 holes in the back of the riser. Drill holes perpendicular to the angled plate on the back of the riser (see Figure 8). For driver side seat, please refer to Figure 9 for proper hole location. For commander side seat, please refer to Figure 10 for proper hole location. Figure 8

12 12 OF 25 E Align mounting holes in item #1 with mounting holes in the riser. Insert item #8 through item #3 and the riser. Apply item #3 and item #14 to item #8 and tighten using the 5/8 socket, ratchet, and wrench (see Figure 13). Figure 13

13 13 OF 25 E Align mounting holes in item #2 with mounting holes in the back frame. Apply red loctite to item #4 and insert through item #3, item #2, and into the back frame. Tighten using the 5/8 socket and ratchet (see Figure 14). Figure Apply red loctite to item #5 and insert through item #6, item #2, and into the back frame. Tighten using the 1/2 socket and ratchet (see Figure 14).

14 14 OF 25 E Insert item #12 into the countersunk hole in the riser. Apply item #7 (Receptor), item #10, and item #11 onto item #12. Align item #7 so that it is on a 70 angle to the horizon. Tighten using the 7/32 hex bit socket, ratchet, and 7/16 wrench (see Figure 15). Figure 15

16 16 OF 25 E Apply red Loctite to item #4 and insert through item #3, item #7 (Shoulder Retractor), and into item #1. Align pin in item #7 with hole in item #1. Tighten using the 5/8 socket, and ratchet (see Figure 16). (SHOULDER RETRACTOR) 7 APPLY RED LOCTITE Figure 16

17 17 OF 25 E Insert item #13 through item #3, item #7 (Guide Loop), and item #2. Apply item #3 and item #14 to item #13. Align item #7 so that it is perpendicular with the belt, or on a 12 angle to the horizon. Tighten using the 1/4 hex bit socket, ratchet, and 5/8 wrench (see Figure 17). Figure 17

18 18 OF 25 E Insert item #9 through item #3, item #7 (Lap Retractor), and into the mounting hole in the seat frame created in step Apply item #3 and item #14 onto item #9. Align item #7 so it is on a 60 angle to the horizon. Tighten using the 5/8 socket, ratchet, and wrench (see Figure 18). Figure 18

19 19 OF 25 E Reapply seat cover and foam to seat frame. Pull the rear flap of the seat cover under the back, and fasten to the Velcro on the seat frame. Pull the front flap of the seat cover under the seat cushion, and fasten to the Velcro on the seat cushion frame (see Figure 19). Figure Reattach the seat to the vehicle mount using 5/16 hardware.

22 22 OF 25 E Align mounting holes in item #14 with mounting holes in the riser. Insert item #7 through item #2 and the riser. Apply item #2 and item #13 to item #7 and tighten using the 5/8 socket, ratchet, and wrench (see Figure 21). 2X 2X X 2 2X 13 RISER Figure 21

24 24 OF 25 E Align mounting holes in item #1 with mounting holes in the back frame. Apply red Loctite to item #3 and insert through item #2, item #1, and into the back frame. Tighten using the 5/8 socket and ratchet (see Figure 22). Figure Apply red Loctite to item #4 and insert through item #5, item #1, and into the back frame. Tighten using the 1/2 socket and ratchet (see Figure 22).

25 25 OF 25 E Insert item #11 into the countersunk hole in the riser. Apply item #6 (Receptor), item #9, and item #10 onto item #11. Align item #6 so that it is on a 70 angle to the horizon. Tighten using the 7/32 hex bit socket, ratchet, and 7/16 wrench (see Figure 23). Figure 23

27 27 OF 25 E Apply red Loctite to item #3 and insert through item #2, item #6 (Shoulder Retractor), and into item #14. Align pin in item #6 with hole in item #14. Tighten using the 5/8 socket, and ratchet (see Figure 24). 6 (SHOULDER RETRACTOR) APPLY RED LOCTITE Figure 24

29 29 OF 25 E Insert item #12 through item #2, item #6 (Guide Loop), and item #1. Apply item #2 and item #13 to item #12. Align item #6 so that it is perpendicular with the belt, or on a 12 angle to the horizon. Tighten using the 1/4 hex bit socket, ratchet, and 5/8 wrench (see Figure 25). Figure 25

30 30 OF 25 E Insert item #8 through item #2, item #6 (Lap Retractor), and into the mounting hole in the seat frame created in step Apply item #2 and item #13 onto item #8. Align item #6 so it is on a 60 angle to the horizon. Tighten using the 5/8 socket, ratchet, and wrench (see Figure 26). Figure 26

31 31 OF 25 E Reapply seat cover and foam to seat frame. Pull the rear flap of the seat cover under the back, and fasten to the Velcro on the seat frame. Pull the front flap of the seat cover under the seat cushion, and fasten to the Velcro on the seat cushion frame (see Figure 27). 4. INSPECTION: Figure Reattach the seat to the vehicle mount using 5/16 hardware Check that all screws and nuts are fastened securely Check that the belts function properly, that the belts pull out of the retractors, and that the retractor tongue connects with the receptor.
