1 REPORT ON TWO (2) DAYS WORKSHOP/SEMINAR ON O EXPORT PROMOTION, DIGITAL MARKETING,COMPLIANCES AND DESIGN & PRODUT DEVELOPMENT IN HANDICRAFTSS CLUSTER AT UDAIPUR, RAJASTHAN ON 13TH & 14TH AUGUST, The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) organized o the two (2) days Workshop/Seminar on Export Promotion, Digital Marketing, Compliances and Design & Product Development in Handicrafts Clusters at Udaipur (Rajasthan) for SC community with support from O/ /o Development Commissionerr (Handicrafts). PARTCIPNATS IN THE WORKSHOP The seminar was aimed to educate the craftsperson s/artisans, national awardees, NGO s/ /SHG s, entrepreneurs and manufacturers of SC community of Udaipur, Rajasthan who has enormous potential but due to the lack of knowledge of exports, export market, traditional t design and product development could not exploree their markets and by organizing this seminar, it could ablee to explain them to know about the export marketing,, procedures, documentation, compliances and innovative design trends.

2 The session was addressedd by Sh. A.K Meena, Assistant Director,, O/o DC (H). He apprised the participants about different schemes available a for upliftment of artisans and craftsperson s for promotion of exports. Shri V.P Rathi, President, Udaipur Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Udaipur briefed the participants about importance of skill development and assured artisans and craftsperson s all support from their organization with regard to the export of handicrafts. He elaborated that Exporters from the Udaipur shared their experiencee with craftsperson s and artisanss to become an exporter. Mr. Chetan C Choudhary, leading l exporter of Udaipur shared his experience and also shared their journey with them. MR. CHETAN CHOUDHARY, LEADING EXPORTER, SHARING HISS EXPERIENCE WITH THE PARTICIPANTS Mr. Rais Ahmed, an expertt in meeting various compliances of export management, documentation, procedures. Another technical session was takenn by Dr. Harshita Shrimali fromm Pacific Collage, Udaipur and she updated participants about importance andd use of Digital Marketing in recent times. Special focus was kept on social media. Mr. R..P Atre, Regional Manager andd Mr. Hitesh Rajpurohit, Branch Manager from Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank, Udaipur was also present.. They apprised

3 participants about various credit/loan and insurance scheme being provided by their bank. The workshop concluded with the inn depth and detailed presentation by Mr. Manoj Yadav, a designer from IICD, Jaipur delivered a presentation on crafts of Rajasthan and trends & forecast for the yearr 2015 and presentation of certificate to the participants by Mr. V.P Rathi, Udaipur Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mr. A.K Meena, Assistant Director, O/o DC (H) and Mr. Chetan Choudhary, Leading Exporter from Udaipur. DISTRIBUTION OF PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATETE The objective of this workshopp approved vide sanction order no. K / /4/82/ /R& D, dated is to make aware the primary producers, artisans, craftspersons, SHG/NGO and small and tiny entrepreneurs about export promotion, digital marketing, complianc es and design & product development to compete in the International markets.
