4 REPORT ON VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK 2013 In pursuance to directives issued by the Central Vigilance Commission vide Circular No.02/09/13 file no.013/vgl/082 dated , Vigilance Awareness Week was observed in Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) from 28 th October, 2013 to 2 nd November, Vigilance awareness week was also observed at FHEL, a fully owned subsidiary of CONCOR. The theme of the Vigilance Awareness Week this year was Promoting Good Governance Positive Contribution of Vigilance. CMD/CONCOR administered the pledge to the Board of Directors in the Board meeting held on Similarly, Chairman/FHEL administered pledge to the Directors in the Board meeting held on During the Vigilance Awareness Week-2013, following activities were organized:- 1. Pledge Taking: Pledge to all officers/staffs of Corporate Office was administered by Shri Anil K. Gupta, CMD/CONCOR on 28 th October,2013 at 11:00am. Similarly, in all the Regional offices, ICDs/DCTs/CFSs of CONCOR, pledge was administered by the Regional Heads/Terminal Heads of the respective Regions/Terminals. Workshop: Workshop was organized on Promoting Good Governance Positive Contribution of Vigilance on 31 st October, 2013 at Corporate Office. in which Justice (Retd.), Kamleshwar Nath, Chairman, Transparency International India was the Chief Guest. He stressed the need for education on moral values. Shri Anil K. Gupta, CMD in his address emphasized the need for transparency and prudence in expenditure. Presentation on e-samarth : Enhanced version of Online Vigilance Clearance i.e. e-samarth was formally launched by Shri Anil K. Gupta, CMD, CONCOR on 1 st November, 2013, covering new features such as online linking of Annual Property Return, Disciplinary & Appeal Rules and dynamic role changing of Vigilance Officers.

11 5. Debate Competition: Debate competition on Whistle Blower Policy Success or Failure was organized on 29 th October, 2013 at Corporate Office covering the participation from all the Regions.
