The lifestyle products that are exhibited in our booth are joint innovations of both Thai and Japanese artisans who have been encouraged by both the Thai and the Japanese Governments to combine their artistic skills to produce the products that reflect the historical cultures and modern innovations of both Thailand and Japan. The products which are displayed are valuable creations that weave together the best of Thai and Japan uniqueness in art, design, craftsmanship, quality, and technique. I do hope that you will enjoy viewing and experiencing our products and consider introducing them to your markets. September 2013 Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce of Thailand Niwatthamrong Boonsongpaisan MESSAGE from JAPAN This exhibition is organized by Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government to show an accomplishment of Japan-Thailand joint project as a part of support activities towards recovery of Thailand from the severe flood in Most of the works exhibited here, for example the table lamp created by combining Japanese Arita-yaki porcelain technique with Thai pewterware design, are the fusion of Japanese craftmanship, which is nourished by many years of traditions and well translated into the sense of beauty in modern Japan, and the talented design and handwork from Thailand. Japan has been working on Cool Japan activity to realize again the goodness of Japanese culture, create new values, and promote it internationally. At the same time, we have also been promoting the cooperation in various areas with Thailand, our essential partner. Since the works showed in this exhibition are the outcome from both Cool Japan and Japan-Thailand friendship, I highly believe visitors at this exhibition from around the world to enjoy the achievement of the fusion of these two things.
