2 ABOUT GOLDEN BISCOTTI Material and production Golden Biscotti are lovingly designed valuable items for daily use. The focus is on simple and clear shapes that can be easily combined. High-quality products are developed in small series and manufactured in selected Swiss craft enterprises, Swiss foundations or in our own studios. The focus is on traditional production techniques and natural materials and this is reflected in the individual products. Product designer Nicole Lehner is responsible for the design and appearance of the products; textile work is developed, among others, in collaboration with fashion designer Cornelia Peter. It is important to Golden Biscotti how products are designed and produced, what materials are used and where they come from. The work is carried out with great respect and intensity; if the products are seen as something special and are used for as long as possible, then the goal of Golden Biscotti has been achieved. 3 Straws The first straws were indeed made of straw and were produced in Switzerland primarily at the Aargau Freiamt as a cottage industry. Today in Switzerland there is only the cereal manufacturer Künzi in Maschwanden that still harvests the straw manually, primarily for weaving. This is reason enough to give a new lease of life to the natural product that has become rather forgotten For the production of drinking straws, the straw is harvested by hand with a sickle just before it ripens. It is then dried, cut to the right length and packaged in a low-germ environment. Each straw is unique in its shape and colour nuance and also an ecological alternative to conventional plastic straws. Compostable! Material: Wheat halm Length: 20 cm

4 Mirror Shelf A shelf with a mirror for keys, mobile or other small items that you like to keep handy. The mirror is inserted into the opening in the shelf and attached to the wall with a nail. Available in grey, white/green and oak wood. 5 Paper garlands The paper garlands are folded by hand at the Stiftung Heimgarten in Aarau. They consist of robust and light-proof paper. As a striking decoration for your own four walls, a small gift or for an atmospheric garden party. The scope of supply includes three paper garlands in three different sizes and colours. 6 Pan mat This pan mat is crocheted by hand with hemp cord. No heat can penetrate thanks to the robust cord and the tight stitches. A natural mat that stands out and also looks good without a pan. Diameter: 22 cm Height: 1.5 cm Material: hemp cord

7 Plates Colour is incorporated into the porcelain before moulding. The plates are unglazed and thus retain their matte, rough surface. Golden Biscotti manufactures the plates in three shades of grey per set of three, which are sold as sets or individually. Delivery lead time approx. 4-6 weeks. 8 Vase The vase is made of porcelain and is poured by hand in a twopart plaster mould. The vase is unglazed. The surface is naturally matt, comparable with the haptics of stone. Diameter: 5 cm Heigth: 26 cm Material: Porcelain unglazed

9 Holder The scale rule mounting plate is, as the name already suggests, intended to hold slide rules and also paper rolls, plans, etc. The mounting plate consists of birch plywood and is produced by hand at the Satis Foundation in Seon (canton of Aargau). 11 Wooden Boards A forest for the kitchen. The different boards are made of maple, beech tree and walnut. They can be placed in the relevant holder for drying or store keeping. We sell the boards individually or as a matching set together with the holder. The wood is from local Swiss forests.

12 Cushion round Round cushions of a beautiful design on the sofa, comfortable for your head and back and superbly suited for a pillow fight. The cushions are filled with Swiss sheep s wool. The cover consists of robust cotton from Création Baumann. They are produced at the social organisation Trinamo in Aarau. Diameter: 25 cm Material: coton fabric

13 Cushions blue / green The cushion can be used either like a small pouffe on the floor, to add height to a chair, or on a sofa. It is stuffed with the cotton wadding used in futon mattresses. The cushion is firm and stable because of the density of the material. The cover is made from durable cotton fabric and can be unzipped and removed for cleaning.
