4 Highlights by region September 2015 Ongoing Number of projects in the database FEED Planning On Hold PETCHEM ASIA-PACIFIC CIS NORTH AMERICA MIDDLE EAST Asia-Pacific will be one of the most important regions in the next 2-3 years with 30+ projects ongoing in 2016, but it s expected to slow down in 2017 China will be driving the investments in the region, followed by India CIS will see roughly constant investments in 2016, with 15+ projects ongoing Turkmenistan to be one of the most relevant countries, driven by the 3 B USD Kiyanla Petrochemical Plant awarded to HEC, LGI and Toyo Region will grow in , driven by the United States, while Canada will have a decrease in investments 30+ projects identified in the time horizon Relatively large average project size in the US One of the region with the largest projects, with Saudi Arabia leading the way (e.g. Sadara chemical complex, Al- Jubail complex) Qatar to be the secondlargest geography also thanks to the large Al Sejeel Petrochemical Complex LATIN AMERICA AFRICA EUROPE Low investments in the horizon considered, also due to declining investments in Brazil The most relevant country is Mexico, driven by the Nanchital complex (3.0 B USD) and the Orinoco Oil belt plant (2.7 B USD) Nigeria has the largest project in the region, Dangote Group s Olokola Petrochemical Complex, with a total investment amounting to 9 B USD (considering also the refinery) Investment level to remain fairly constant in Average investment size relative small compared to other regions (~200M USD) No concentration in a single country, most relevant countries are Hungary the United Kingdom and Germany Source: SupplHi Projects Database, September
