3 A reliable partner for the development of Turkmenistan We have had a permanent presence in Turkmenistan since 1996, and have successfully delivered several turnkey projects in this country. The world s 4th largest natural gas reserves Turkmenistan holds substantial oil resources and vast natural gas reserves in its soil. The country possesses the world s fourth-largest natural gas reserves. Gas production is the most dynamic and promising sector of the national economy. Economic growth, driven primarily by the energy sector, has hovered above 10% per annum in recent years. Taking our presence further in Turkmenistan Technip has been carrying out projects in Turkmenistan for many years. In the last 15 years, we have delivered several turnkey contracts in this country, in the oil and gas sector, as well as in non-energy related industries. We are currently carrying out the Turkmenistan Block 1 project, an offshore gas field development in the Caspian Sea. 4 Bringing our global expertise to Turkmenistan's economic growth Technip provides full service engineering and project management support over the full life cycle of process facilities development from initial process design through detailed engineering and EPC project management. Oil & Gas field development Technip designs and builds all types of development facilities for onshore oil and gas fields, from wellheads to treatment centers and product shipping systems. Gas treatment Technip has delivered many worldscale gas treatment complexes: plants for the removal of CO 2 and sulphur components, gas processing and sulphur recovery plants. Oil refining Technip has completed 30 grassroots refinery projects and more than 100 refinery expansion and upgrade projects in more than 75 countries. It is also one of the few engineering companies in the world to have engineered 10 grassroots refineries since Onshore pipelines Technip s scope of services covers the entire cycle from early project development, to implementation of EPC projects. Ethylene Technip is a world leader in Ethylene technology for both grassroots plants (including mega-crackers) and plant expansions. Petrochemicals & polyolefins Technip has designed and built over 400 aromatics units, intermediate product units and polymer units including polyolefin units. Fertilisers Technip has designed and built more than 400 fertiliser units. Within the expansion and upgrading programme of Turkmenneftegas Turkmenbashi refinery on the Caspian Sea, Technip has successfully completed EPC contracts for the design and construction of several units: New diesel hydrotreater unit Milli Second Catalytic Cracker unit (MSCC) Turkmenbashi refinery modernisation (gasoline production unit and utilities) Lube oil plant In 2004, Petronas Carigali (Turkmenistan) awarded Technip and MMHE a contract for the development of Turkmenistan Block 1. Technip and partner provided pre-feed and FEED and is currently finishing the EPCI contract. Our scope of work under Block 1 development consists of two wellhead / riser platforms and an onshore gas terminal. Dragon Oil entrusted Technip with a contract for the studies of existing facilities at the Lam and Zhdanov fields. In 1998, we completed an EPCM contract for our client, Turkmenneft, for the South- Kamyschldsha Gas Condensate field development (oil and gas separator). Technip in Turkmenistan 7
