4 FACILITIES STR operates state-of-the-art testing and engineering facilities to maintain our rental equipment inventory to the highest standard: Acoustic Tank A purpose built acoustically baffled water tank enables the testing of subsea sensors prior to deployment into the field. Calibrated hydrophones and receivers, together with FFT analysis, allow fast and accurate measure of equipment performance. Cable Moulding Services The STR cable moulding and termination facility has expertise in the design, manufacture and testing of OEM and custom electrical, video and fibre optic cables for use in underwater, topside and other harsh environments. Cable Spooling Services A cable spooling and termination service can be performed at our facility in Great Yarmouth. A state-of-theart spooling machine delivers accurate and efficient spooling results on a variety of cable and winch types used in offshore and marine sectors. Calibration Laboratory With guidance from industry leading manufacturers, our new calibration laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation and is operated by qualified engineers to international standards. Hydrostatic Pressure Test Facility A 400 bar pressure test chamber will simulate the enormous force subsea equipment must withstand when operating in deep water. This is crucial for testing components such as transducers, subsea electronic housings and connectors before subsea deployment. UK ABERDEEN Our Aberdeen facility allows STR to support and focus on North Sea clients but also allows us to develop relations with new clientele. The facility, which is based in Cults, Aberdeen is situated near the port of Aberdeen and strategically placed to serve our local clients mobilising in Aberdeen or other Scottish ports, as well as national and international clients. From our premier location in the North East, we have direct links to mainland Europe, fast access to Aberdeen Airport for international delivery and a daily courier service to cater to client requirements. GREAT YARMOUTH Our Great Yarmouth facility allows STR to support and focus on its Southern North Sea clients. The facility is in close proximity to the deep-water outer harbour and is a prime location to serve our local clients mobilising in Great Yarmouth or other nearby English ports. Our state-of-the-art spooling machine delivers accurate and efficient spooling results on a variety of cable and winch types. CALIBRATION A range of calibration services meeting international standards are now available at STR including: Conductivity Gyrocompass Pressure Sound Velocity Temperature STR holds official accreditation to provide third party calibration services on Valeport hydrographic and oceanographic instruments, as well as Sonardyne & Tritech standard sonars. 6 SUBSEA TECHNOLOGY & RENTALS

7 CATHODIC PROTECTION INSPECTION STR offers comprehensive pipeline and platform CP Inspection survey packages for ROV and Diver use and can be supported by trained inspection personnel. For ROV operations our CP Probe Electronics Interface Bottle provides power and a digital interface between the CP Probe sensor and the ROV communication network for reliable ROV based CP inspection. The CP Probe readings are converted to an RS232 data string and transferred by the ROV mux system to the STR CP Probe Logger software. The CP Probe is a dual reference cathodic protection probe and can be used as a stabbing tip-contact probe or as a proximity electrode by using a surface ground wire. For Diver operations STR offers the user friendly CP Gun. CHAIN MEASUREMENT STR SeaGauge Chain Measuring System is designed to accurately measure wear and corrosion on link and interlink lengths on chain mooring systems with repeatable results. The SeaGauge system is totally mechanical, utilising vernier calliper units that are manipulated hydraulically on sliding beam mounts to obtain the chain readings with an accuracy of <0.2mm. The STR SeaGauge is designed to interface easily with Saab Seaeye ROV s, particularly the Seaeye Falcon, with it being a plug and play set up minimising mobilisation time on location. FLOODED MEMBER DETECTION The STR SeaGamma Flooded Member Detection System has been designed with substantial input from industry inspection experts and is expected to be the method of choice for the inspection and monitoring of subsea components for the detection of water ingress. Flooded Member Detection inspection technique can also be applied to locating blockages in pipelines as a result of pigging or silt built up.
