4 Objective General objective To automatically generate, accurate and fault free, aircraft electrical harness from paper or CAD wiring diagrams for modification. Automatic generation will be achieved thanks to the implementation of a single system, named FRESH.

7 Objectives Economical Objectives of FRESH: For harness designed in the frame of a retrofit aircraft: a decrease of 5% of design costs, as a consequence of a faster optimisation phase. As an example, on a common intervention, with the assumption of enhancing the harness standard on thirty cabling diagrams (for maintenance, retrofit or overhauling), we expect: a decrease of costs by a 15 % a shortcut of the design period by a 50 %

8 Objectives Technical Objectives of FRESH: To scan paper wiring plans, to recognise their content and to interpret it in a Computer Aided Design software. To draw the harness thanks to wiring data. To complete it with data from 3D CAD software which define equipments and routes. To simulate electrical harnesses physical behaviour.
