Privately held, the Company was established in 2006 by people with large experience of valve design, manufacture and service. DWD AND VALLAND PARTNERSHIP DWD and VALLAND entered in a strategic business arrangement in which both parties agree to pool their resources to accomplish the task of providing the Country of Angola with a reliable, trustworthy and durable supplier of industrial valves for the Oil and Gas sector. VALLAND provides the expertise of long-term activities in supplying industrial valves for the offshore installations, both topside and subsea applications, in the most critical design and working conditions. DWD provides the local support for marketing, commercial area, logistics, trained personnel, after sales service and spare parts procurement.

All technicians are trained in Italy with rigor and certification according to norms and standards in force by the sector and international codes. In Angola, the company will rely on the local labor but under the supervision of technicians from Italy in the first two years. During this period, the company will train the local force to achieve the same level with the technicians from Italy. Our valves are made of various grades of materials: Carbon steel for high temperature service Carbon steel for low temperature service Stainless steel for corrosive service Duplex and super-duplex stainless steel for gas and oil field corrosive service Super-austenitic stainless steel for high corrosive and sea water applications Nickel alloy for highly corrosive service Titanium for various corrosive and special applications Valve components are generally produced by forging process, which ensures a material structure universally recognized superior than casting and more uniform in composition. When castings are used, their quality in granted by additional volumetric non-destructive examinations, such as radiographic and ultrasonic tests. For added protection and extended life in corrosive service, we offer a wide choice of seat pockets and seal area overlays following qualified welding procedures. Inconel 625 fully cladded valves may also be furnished on application.

17 HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT Being aware of its role as a main player in the Oil & Gas sector, the Company has decided to establish an Integrated HSE Management System according to the standard EN ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 (in future, ISO 45001).
