23 Transformation of time Great challenge nowadays Feeling of constant urgency "the clock time of the industrial age is being gradually replaced by what I conceptualized as timeless time" (Castells, 2010, preface, p.xl) : culture of the "annihilation of time".

24 The acceleration of time It is the development of communication technology, computers, mobile phones... that fosters practices in a simultaneous time frame through the massive habit of multi-tasking. (Castells, 2010, preface, p.xli) But how could it be possible to manage several hours a day on computers if we don't engage in multi-tasking?

25 How can we describe occupations in networking? Doris Pierce (2001, 2003): Appeal of occupation: - Productivity - Pleasure - Restoration

26 Can networking be a way to belong, connect and contribute? Karen W. Hammel (2009) "the ability to contribute to others in reciprocal relationships (e.g. partners, families, friends and extended communities) that foster perceptions of value, competence, self-worth, and a sense of connection and belonging are important to one s sense of well-being.
