4 Training Program Learning in Education with Technology Workshop: The workshop conducted by Microsoft and Kips Publications was attended by Ms. Deepa Gayathri, Primary Academic Coordinator on Saturday, 26th November The workshop focused on the latest Microsoft tools developed in the field of education. Ms. Meenakshi Uberoi, Mr.Bibhuthi Sinha of De Pedagogics gave a brief introduction to the tools like Office Mix, One Note, Sway, Skype, Mine Craft, Digitial Inking that the teachers can use to make the classroom interactive.

5 Celebration in School If the only prayer you say in your life is thank you, that would suffice. Meister Eckhart Sometimes we forget to thank people who make our lives so beautiful in so many ways. We forget to tell them how much we really appreciate their support, guidance and unconditional love. In our daily lives it is not happiness that makes us grateful, but gratefulness that makes us happy. Thanksgiving is an opportunity to extend our gratitude to all the people who makes a great difference in our lives. Students celebrated Thanksgiving Week from Monday, 21 st November 2016 to Thursday, 24 th November 2016.They wrote messages expressing their thankfulness to their friends, teachers, parents and their loved ones. This act has inspired the students to cultivate the habit of being thankful and count the blessings of their lives.

6 KHOJ-THE QUEST Inter School Heritage Quiz As it is said The greatest quest in life is to reach one s potential, a quiz gives such an opportunity to students to explore the extent of their knowledge and add more aspects to their learning process. One such platform was given to the students of Grade 8 of Orchids International School who participated in the Inter school heritage quiz competition held in Sishya school, Hosur. Class Activity: Grade III-Social Studies Clothing in India varies depending on the different ethnicity, geography, climate and cultural traditions of the people of each region of India. In order to get the feel of diverse type of clothes we wear in India an activity was conducted for Grade III.

7 Class Activity: Grade II-Hindi Chapter: ''Janamdin Ka Upahar'' Innovator s Day Innovator s Day is the day conducted by Accend System Pvt Ltd. This competition provided an opportunity to the students to enhance their creative thinking and problem solving skills.

10 How would Technology Affect Future Generation? Technology has perhaps had a greater impact on mankind than any other single factor in the history of the world. The introduction and integration of technology into society has significantly influenced many ways of life. It can be linked with everything person living in the 21st century interacts with from the times he wakes up till he goes to bed. Technology has had both positive and negative effects on mankind. It is well anticipated that technology would have even more pronounced effect on future generation. Technology can make the world a more comfortable and convenient place to live, or a place where human being suffer because of their own creation. Technology can make the world an easier and more comfortable place to live in for future generation. Transportation will drastically change. Even though the flying car may just be a fantasy, the near future cars can be given microchips to assist the driver. Technology can make the world more comfortable. How do you think technology will change in the future? Textbook will all be online no more excuses of I left my book at home or my book is locker or someone stole it. Testing and classroom discussion will take place online. Perhaps we can all just stay home and conduct class in cyber space with message board and chat rooms. I think that the next step in technology are computers that think and learn as time goes by.a space odyssey where human hold conversation with their computers and computers begin to think for themselves.
