Prof Dr Ahmad Razlan Yusoff holds PhD in the area of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. Before that, he was studied B.Eng (Hons) and MSc in the same area from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. He received study sponsorship award in his degree (JPA), master (USM special scholarship) and PhD study levels (SLAI), best papers in an international conference and several medal awards in several exhibitions (Archimedes, CITReX, MTE, IENA, I-TEX, BIS and MOSTI). He also received a Professional Engineer from BEM, Chartered Engineer from I- MechE, UK, special excellent award (2006 and 2013), Cendekia Bitara (2011, 2015, 2016, 2017) and UMP Community Figure award (2016). He joined University of Sheffield as a PhD student and researcher where he participated in 3 ESPRC grants (UK). At present, he is an associate professor and deputy dean of academic and student affairs in the faculty of Manufacturing Engineering at Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Pahang, Malaysia. His research interests include Advanced Machining Techonology, Tool Die and Mold and Vibration Applications and received several research grants such as UMP Internal Grant, as well as External Grant of Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS), Prototype Research Grant Scheme (PRGS) MTUN COE project and E-Science with a amount of RM908,948. Dr. Razlan has graduated 6 master students, now actively supervised 4 masters and 7 PhD students and has published 9 books, 57 journals and 65 conference papers in several conferences based on his experiences. He also appointed as technical and academic advisor for technical institution such as DRB-HICOM University of Automotive Malaysia, Terengganu Advanced Technical University College (TATIUC), Polytechnic Sultan Ahmad Shah (Kuantan, Pahang), MARA High Technical College (Kuantan and Kemaman) and Japan-Malaysia Technical Institute (Penang). In the national level, as Fundamental Research Grant Scheme panel appointed by Ministry of Higher Education and Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA), Engineering Acreditation Council (EAC), Engineering Technology Acreditation Council (ETAC) panels for engineering and technology field and I-TEX research product exhibition panel.
