Contractor Questions: Question: 27 05 20 Intercom System Is this required? There are no details on the drawings. If required please provide speaker and call station details. Answer: Delete section 27 05 20 as noted above. Building access shall be controlled via intercom panel dialing out to tenant provided phone number to gain access. Refer to Section 28 13 28 Building Entrance Control System. Question: I notice the lobby entry panel does not have a camera on it, so no resident cable channel with lobby view? Answer: No camera at the intercom and no dedicated cable channel with view of the lobby. Question: Does the cabling have to be Panduit as specified or can I quote TE Connectivity/Commscope/Uniprise for the CAT6 FT6 & Belden or comparable RG6? Answer: Specifications are based on Panduit products, however, equal products are acceptable. Question: Would the cabling contractor supply the distribution for cable TV or arrange for Cogeco Cable to supply? Answer: Contractor is to supply and install distribution for cable TV. Question: Is cabling contractor to install distribution cable for the floor feeds of coax? Answer: Yes, contractor is to supply and install distribution cable. Question: Does the data for the individual units terminate within the unit or go to the floor terminal. Nothing in the specs. Answer: Data (and CATV) devices in individual units are to terminate within the termination box located in each unit.
