This Addendum is issued pursuant to the Instructions to Responders and Conditions of the Contract. This Addendum serves to clarify, revise, and supersede information in the Project Manual, Drawings, and previously issued Addenda. Portions of the Addendum affecting the Contract Documents will be incorporated into the Contract by enumeration of the Addendum in the Owner/Contractor Agreement. B. Specifications: 1. Refer to Section 00 73 46 for schedule of prevailing wage rates. 2. Refer to Specification-Volume 1 for reports of asbestos assessment, environmental investigation and geotechnical exploration /review. B. Civil Work: 1. Refer to Civil Drawings and Specifications for SWPPP requirements (erosion prevention and sediment control). 2. Site demolition includes but is not limited to curb/gutter, asphalt paving, sidewalks, tree stumps, gas service, trenching for sanitary & storm sewer and general clearing as required for new construction. 3. Civil work includes but is not limited to re-grading, new curb/gutter, asphalt and concrete paving, walks, storm & sanitary piping, finish grading, seeding of lawn areas and rock mulch. C. Existing Building /Selective Demolition: 1. 30 x 100 area of floor slab removed and replaced in existing garage, including new in-floor heat system. 2. Two (2) rooms in northwest corner of existing garage to be removed. 3. Remove two (2) door units and four (4) windows in existing west exterior wall and salvaged for release to Owner. Resulting openings to be in-filled with masonry. 4. New door openings cut through the west precast wall of the existing garage. D. Building Structure: 1. Addition is structurally isolated from existing building. 2. Insulated precast wall panels bear on perimeter spread footings. 3. Two (2) mezzanine areas with hollow core planks and concrete topping; planks to be set after masonry walls are in-place and shoring required until topping is cured. 4. Steel roof trusses and metal deck with ballasted single ply roofing system. 5. Three (3) skylights on roof. 5. Aluminum exterior door units and hollow metal interior door units. 6. 2 hour fire rated wall at the existing building - addition connection. 7. Exposed structure, ductwork and electrical to be painted in interior spaces. E. Mechanical /Plumbing Work: 1. Heating water temperatures for coil design: 130F EWT and 100F LWT. 2. Domestic cold water is being extended from the existing domestic water service. 3. Domestic hot water provided by a new water heater. 4. Flammable waste trap for drainage in the garage areas. 5. Storm water piping to extend underground and discharge in the Hwy. 19 ditch. 6. A portion of the existing storm water piping will be modified. 7. Trench drains in garages. 8. Relocated emergency shower and eye wash. 9. Hose bibs and compressed air outlets in the garages. 10. Compressed air is being piped from the existing compressed air system. 11. Special water distribution system in the Mist Room along with heating inside the room. Both have specific control systems for operation. 12. 2 hour fire rated wall at the existing building : addition connection 13. Fire sprinkler system not required. 14. 30 x 100 area of the existing garage will be provided with in-floor heating system and served by the new boiler system. 15. A new hot water boiler system will provide heating water for all new equipment that uses heating water. 16. Garage 100 heating and ventilating will be provided by a unit heater and exhaust fan. 17. Garage 108 heating and ventilating will be provided by a unit heater, make-up air unit and exhaust fan. 18. Both garages equipped with ceiling fans. 19. The Lab 105 HVAC system will be displacement ventilation type with supply air low in the space, including an air handling unit, exhaust fans and dust collector system. The controls are specific to the operation of the Lab and its equipment. There is also requirement for life safety and fire protection purposes with the Lab maintained under positive pressure relative to all adjacent spaces at all times, both occupied and unoccupied. 20. The building automation system (BAS) has very specific requirements with regard to type of controls, who can provide the controls and integration with the building systems and equipment. F. Electrical Work: 1. Provide new normal and emergency panelboards, serving all loads of the addition. New panelboards shall be fed from the existing normal main distribution system and the existing emergency panel. 2. Electrical Contractor shall perform a rebalance of the existing emergency panel.

3. New low voltage data rack shall be provided in the addition. This rack shall be tied into the existing main data closet via a new fiber optic cable routed through the existing building. 4. New security devices (card readers, cameras, door switches) shall be provided and tied back into the existing building security systems. 5. New fire alarm system shall be provided for shut down of air handling units. 6. Provide electrical connections to new mechanical equipment. 7.
