2 Halny Romana STEEL CORE by STEEL CORE The new roof tile panels are easy to install, and may even be installed on roofs with gentle slopes. The modular panels may be hooked together, pressed onto the laths and screwed down without any need for special tools. No need for big spending - even a DIY handyman will be able to cover the roof of a new building or restore one on an existing house. Handy lightweight panels (870 x 1115 mm) in the form of ten tiles patterns are available with various finishes, they set new standards for safe and speedy installation thanks to patented hook-fast system. The fastening bolts are covered by the next tile module and are thus well protected. The surface, with its trend-setting coating is extremely weather resistant: It is smooth, dirt repelling, scratch and corrosion proof, and will keep its perfect looks for many years to come. 5 991 mm 991 mm 1115 mm Preparation and installation Air circulation Caution! The indicated vertical markings are absolutely necessary in order to respect the required installation alignment. Cross lath Counter lath Ensure that the sub-structure is completely even. To prevent damp (condensation), spread the roofing felt on the rafters. Since the cross laths (width 80 mm) support the HALNY ROMANA modular panels, the distance separating them (as indicated here) has to be respected at all times. First row: Install the panels parallel to the eaves and fix them so that the screws are visible (these screws and if necessary an adapter have to be ordered separately). 396 mm 396 mm 396 mm The HALNY ROMANA modular panels are delivered on disposable pallets. Place the CLIP FIX screws supplied on the fastening flap at right angles to the roof surface mm 1115 mm 870 mm Air circulation 90 Installation without need of special tools Use a suitable device for unloading the pallets from the stack if necessary.... and screw in. Install the elements in the order shown on the sketch. Subsequent rows of HALNY ROMANA s panels can then simply be hooked on, pressed firmly and screwed tight. What is needed for the job: - Drilling set with screwing head - Trimmer or jigsaw - 80 mm wide wooden cross laths - Roofing felt and other accessories with fastening material 0 Example: Rear ventilation via installed eaves plate. Appropriate ventilation is a must in order to achieve optimal protection and insulation of your roof. That s why you should take care for perfect air flow under the modular panels. Fix the eaves plate. Before installing the modular panels we advise you to apply vertical markings as required by the installation instructions in order to obtain the required installation alignment (see drawing). It is essential to start fitting the HALNY ROMANA Module from the lower right gutter edge. Example: Bending on the ridge is only necessary when no Lüftomat or rollridge is used.... Once again another HALNY ROMANA roof is complete!
