Easy to apply by brush or spray, Architectural resists mould growth and protects timber from harmful UV light. The woodstain penetrates the surface of the timber giving perfect adhesion, so no primer is required and the surface will not flake or crack. Architectural requires very little maintenance to preserve its colour and strength. Architectural is a solvent based coating ideal for use on preservative treated wood and is available in 12 popular colours. It is easy to apply by brush or roller and is very quick drying. Resistant to mould growth, Architectural water based also protects timber from harmful UV light. The woodstain penetrates the surface of the timber giving perfect adhesion, so no primer is required and the surface will not flake or crack. Architectural Water Based requires very little maintenance to preserve its colour and strength. Mid Quickthorn Laurel Green Sherwood Green Laburnum Yellow Red Maple Architectural Water Based is an emulsion and can be used over any other type of wood coating (please read the label carefully for application instructions). It is designed to penetrate into the timber and the flexibility of its microporous coat ensures that no cracking or flaking of the surface takes place. Available in either matt or sheen finishes, Timbertone offers 12 natural wood tones formulated to complement all species of timber and to offer protection from harmful UV light. Light Oak Antique Pine Oregon Pine Rosewood Rich Mahogany Timbertone Matt Timbertone Matt gives a low sheen translucent finish. It is particularly suitable for rough sawn timber such as cladding, fascias and fencing where it imparts excellent water shedding properties. Petrol Blue Fir Green Dark Elm Timbertone Sheen Timbertone Sheen has a high sheen translucent finish. It is particularly suitable for use on prepared surfaces where it has excellent moisture shedding properties. Recommended for both internal and external applications such as windows, doors, panels, cladding and conservatories. Rich Mahogany Available in 12 beautiful timber tones, Timbertone Water Based gives long lasting protection from harmful UV sunlight. Designed to penetrate the surface of the timber, the microporous coating of Timbertone Water Based will resist moisture but will allow the wood to breathe. Dark Elm Timbertone Water Based is easy to apply by brush and its flexibility means that the coating will not crack or flake. Use Timbertone Water Based on windows, doors, panel, cladding and conservatories. Light Oak Timbertone Water Based is completely compatible with all other types of woodstain, whether solvent of water based, with minimal surface preparation (please read label carefully for application instructions). 9 FENCETONE AQ WATER-BASED CONCENTRATE FENCING TREATMENT Black Fencetone AQ is a water based concentrate designed specifically for use on rough sawn timbers. Available in 8 natural timber shades Fencetone AQ provides a lasting coloured treatment for fences, gates, sheds and playground equipment which resists green algae and natural greying. Teak Fencetone AQ can be applied to brand new wood, or old wood and can be readily used over aged creosoted timbers. In the interests of economy and environmentally responsible packaging, Deep Chestnut Fencetone AQ is supplied in a concentrate form which can be easily be diluted with ordinary clean water. 10 FENTEX 2000 WATER-BASED READY FOR USE FENCING TREATMENT Fentex 2000 is an advanced ready for use decorative treatment for garden woodwork. Golden Brown Light Oak It is a coloured, water repellent, decorative treatment, developed to enhance the colour of garden woodwork, and to retouch fencing panels treated with industrial Protim Solignum Fentex products as used by leading fencing manufacturers in the UK. Fentex 2000 is easy to apply by brush and once dry, is safe for all animals and plants. It is available in 5 colours. Dark Oak Forest Green Red Cedar PAGE 9

11 WOOD PRESERVATIVES Universal A colourless, dual purpose preservative which protects timber from insect attack and wood destroying fungi. Exterior timber should be further protected with stain or paint. For use on new or existing wood, Solignum Universal is recommended for use on joinery, floorboards, joists, fascias and other building timbers. Woodworm Killer A quick-drying colourless preservative designed to treat new and in-situ wood against insect attack. It may be stained or painted when dry. Suitable for use on timber flooring, joists, and replacement timbers. Cut End Tinted Brown Tinted preservative for use on the exposed areas of pretreated timber after cross cutting, notching or drilling. Suitable for all timber species, it ensures the durability of the treated timber against insect and fungal attack. Suitable for interior or exterior use. Green Fungicidal and insecticidal preservative, recommended for new or existing exterior timbers. The green colour is not intended to be decorative but to indicate that the wood has been treated. The colour will fade with time. Solignum Green is not harmful to plants once dry, and is suitable for use on sheds, greenhouses, cold frames and farm buildings. Solignum Medium and Dark Brown For the preservation and colouring of new or existing exterior timber. Most suitable for rough sawn timber, Solignum Medium and Dark Brown are designed to prevent attack by insects and rot. Suitable for fences, gates, outhouses, farm buildings and building timbers. Solignum Gold Golden brown self-staining dual purpose wood preservative, giving protection against insects and rot on all exterior timbers. Most suitable for rough sawn softwood, Solignum Gold can be used on fences, sheds, wood Universal and Cut End contain acypetacs zinc and permethrin. Woodworm Killer contains permethrin. Green contains copper naphthenate and permethrin. Solignum Medium Brown and Dark Brown contain coal tar creosote. Solignum Gold contains creosote. READ THE LABEL BEFORE YOU BUY PAGE 10

12 METAL PROTECTIVE PAINT NORUSTO AND IONOLAC Norusto Range Available in Standard Black and Tank Black Green Light Green Sage Green Grey Light Grey Red Oxide Red Blue Traffic Yellow White Black Ionolac Gloss Paint A lead free gloss paint which gives excellent durability and protection to metal, wood and other surfaces. Ionolac Gloss Paint is equally suitable for internal and external applications. It may be applied over existing paint and is available in a range of colour which can be intermixed to produce a preferred shade. On bare metal the use of Ionolac Metallic Primer is recommended prior to the application of Ionolac Gloss Paint. Ionolac Metallic Primer For use on prepared metal surfaces (not new galvanised) prior to the application of Ionolac Gloss Paint. Ionolac Aluminium Paint General-purpose paint for all types of metal work. It has excellent reflective qualities and is heat resistant up to 200 o C. Normally, it does not require a primer. Norusto bituminous paints and water proofings are black bituminous solutions in white spirit. They retain their waterproofing qualities under all climatic conditions and are little affected by acid fumes, salt water, sea air or alkalinity. On exposure to normal weathering they will lose their initial gloss and are not intended for decorative finishes. Norusto Standard Black A general purpose inexpensive bituminous solution for application to a wide variety of metal surfaces such as zinc or lead roofs and for rain water gutter interiors and down pipes. Forms a waterproof bond over render, cement, brick, stone, concrete, wood or metal. Suitable as a top dressing for asphalt surface and for renovating bitumen roofing felt (Norusto Standard Black is unsuitable for use in contact with drinking water). Norusto Tank Black Specially prepared for coating the inside of fresh water cold storage tanks. Norusto Tank Black must not be applied to hot water tanks. It is tasteless and odourless when dry and will not affect the water in any way. Once dry it is safe and will protect the metal against corrosion. Tank Black will normally dry within 48 hours and once dry may be recoated. When the second coat is fully dry, fill the tank with water and drain after 4 hours. Repeat filling and draining (if necessary) until any oily film and bitumen/solvent odour has gone. PAGE 11

13 DECKING PROTECTION FOR OUTDOOR TIMBER PROJECTS Osmose Lifewood Treated Timber Osmose Lifewood treatment protects timber and extends its life by preventing attack by insects and fungal decay. It is an industrial process carried out by professional timber treaters. Osmose Lifewood treated timber is ideal for making decks and outdoor timber projects. Osmose Lifewood Repel treated timber has an added wax treatment for in-built water repellency. Osmose End Coat Cut End preservative for re-treatment of decking timbers after cross cutting, notching or drilling. Suitable for all timber species, it ensures the durability of the treated timber against insect and fungal attack. Osmose Clear Water Repellent Clear silicone water repeller for timber decking and masonry. Osmose Clear Water Repellent is a colourless treatment for interior and exterior application. It is designed to control lateral penetrating damp (but not rising damp) by the formation of a water repellent zone at the surface of the treated material. At the same time, this water repellent zone is vapour permeable and so does not prevent the timber or masonry from drying out. Osmose Clear Water Repellent can be used on porous surfaces including existing decking timber, masonry, bricks, concrete, stone, plaster, asbestos, rendering, cement, tiles and roofs. the product should not be used on fresh cement or lime mortars. After treatment, the timber, masonry etc. is protected from the elements, frost, spalling and dirt. Osmose Clear Water Repellent inhibits the growth of mould, lichen PAGE 12

14 DECKING PROTECTION FOR OUTDOOR TIMBER PROJECTS Osmose Deck Cleaner When treated timber decks are exposed to UV light over a period of time, the timber begins to grey. If no sun reaches the deck, lichen and moss may grow. The natural effects of weather on decking timber can leave it looking dull and unattractive. Osmose Deck Cleaner will clean away dirt, lichen and moss whilst brightening the appearance of the wood. An ideal preparation before applying Osmose Clear Water Repellent or Osmose Decking Stain. Osmose Timber Decking Stain Nova Scotia Blue Everglade Green Brunswick A range of semi-transparent stains designed to colour treated decking timbers. It leaves an attractive matt finish, which will allow the natural wood grain to show through. Formulated for use on new decks or to refresh the look of a mature deck, Osmose Decking Stain leaves a durable water repellent coating, which will resist greying, scuffing and mould growth. It is available in five colours and can be applied using brush or spray. When used in combination with a maintenance programme, Osmose Decking Stain will keep decks looking good for many years.
