1 Window Pop-Up Surprise Instructions Robyn Cockburn 2012 purchased from These designs & more available at ` 1. Print all of the sheets. I used 180gsm photo card stock. I used plain paper for the envelope. 2. Cut the pieces out. 3. If your flowers do not have stems attached, cut the green STEM BLOCK into strips approx. 3mm wide. 4. Cut out the aperture in the COVER and the INSERT. 5. Cut the small solid SLOT as marked on the INSERT sheet (just a thin, single cut).

6. Fold back the flaps on your jardinière. 7.

This is best made into a 1mm thickness slot rather than just a single cut line. 8.

The printed side of the pull tab goes face down. 9.

Line its left edge up with the dotted line on the insert.

2 6. Fold back the flaps on your jardinière. 7. Cut the SLOT in the left side of the jardinière. This is best made into a 1mm thickness slot rather than just a single cut line. 8. Attach the PULL TAB to the section marked on the right side of the jardinière. The printed side of the pull tab goes face down. 9. Attach left tab of the jardinière to the INSERT. Line its left edge up with the dotted line on the insert. NOTE that the right tab on the jardinière is never attached to the card it stays loose. 10. For the very front flower I like to attach the flower and 1 or 2 leaves to a piece of stem so that there is a small gap underneath. Use thick double sided tape to achieve a gap.

11. Attach the stem to the inside of the jardinière and allow the leaves to hang down in the front.

Layer flowers and leaves, attaching all the stems to the back of the jardinière with tape. 13.

Flip your arrangement left and right as you create it so that you can see how it s going.

Layer flowers and leaves, attaching all the stems to the back of the jardinière with tape. 13. Also attach one or two flowers and/or leaves to the insert, behind the design to give it more depth. 14. Flip your arrangement left and right as you create it so that you can see how it s going. Try to cover up most of the stems with other leaves and flowers. When you flip back and forth be careful of any flowers that protrude past the left of the jardinière so that you don t bend them while flipping.

15. After attaching all of the flowers and leaves, you can finally bend the pull tab back behind the jardinière and feed it through the slot in the left of the jardinière (1). 16.

Pull the tab through as far as possible while everything is flat and fasten it down with tape. (Trim if desired). 19.

Now is a good time to check it works well before you attach the cover! 20. Keeping the card closed attach the COVER. I find it easiest to do this one half at a time. 21. Attach your chosen greeting.

4 15. After attaching all of the flowers and leaves, you can finally bend the pull tab back behind the jardinière and feed it through the slot in the left of the jardinière (1). 16. Then feed it through the slot in the insert (2). 17. Gently close the card with the jardinière completely flat. 18. Pull the tab through as far as possible while everything is flat and fasten it down with tape. (Trim if desired). 19. When you open the card the pull tab will curl the jardinière into a 3D cylinder, as well as causing the flowers to face different directions, making it look very realistic. Now is a good time to check it works well before you attach the cover! 20. Keeping the card closed attach the COVER. I find it easiest to do this one half at a time. 21. Attach your chosen greeting. 22. Message plates you have TWO CHOICES here. I have included a plaque/frame that matches the front you can either use that as a raised frame on the front (by cutting out the white centre) OR you can attach it to the back to use as a message plate. I have also included blank greeting labels which you could use inside the card to write your own message. (Just don t stick it on top of the pull tab). Assemble the matching envelope as per the instructions on that sheet.
