4 1 Introduction This standard provides designers, installers and operators with the necessary technical and practical information required to enable the safe and efficient installation of LV Waveform mains cables within UK Power Networks. 2 Scope This document covers the following LV Waveform cables laid direct, ducted and in air ducts: 95mm 2 aluminium Waveform (copper neutral earth conductor); 185mm 2 aluminium Waveform (copper neutral earth conductor); 300mm 2 aluminium Waveform (copper neutral earth conductor); 300mm 2 copper Waveform (copper neutral earth conductor). 3 Details 3.1 Current Rating Table for LV Waveform Cables The following tables provide a guide to the current ratings for Waveform cables. All the ratings quoted are Ratings for one single cable only and are in accordance with Engineering Recommendation P17. The MVA ratings are for a three-phase supply.
