2 How to Convert Your Nano Pocket Jet Servo Plugs These instructions will guide you through the process on how to convert the stock servo plugs that come installed on your BlitzRCWorks Pocket Nano Jet to a generic servo plug and or the Spektrum/JR style Micro JST plugs for use on the AR6300 Nanolite receivers. The supplied preinstalled micro servo plugs will not fit current existing receivers, unless you purchased a specific nano radio system. The plug conversion will be needed for the receiver of your choice. This will apply to any Nano Pocket Jet available at Banana Hobby. First you must determine what receiver you will be using. Both Spektrum and Futaba have a Nano rx available however this will require either Futaba or Spektrum nano plugs. If you are using a generic servo connector supplied receiver, any tri-colored universal servo plug will work. Here are the parts you will need: 3 Spektrum JST plugs (Easiest is to purchase the Spektrum Satellite receiver cables and cut them off each end) if you are planning on using the Spektrum AR6300 Nanolite receivers. Or 3 Generic servo ends with at least 2 of tri-colored wire still attached to the plugs. Thin shrink tubing or electrical tape. Soldering materials (optional) Pair of sharp cutters

3 For illustration, we will be using the Spektrum AR6300 Nanolite receiver. 1. Below are 2 possible receivers. The AR6110e with regular generic servo plugs and the AR6300 Nanolite with Spektrum JST plugs. 2. Locate the 3 pre-installed micro servo plugs and have the plug ends easily accessible.

4 3. Start with one servo wire at a time. Starting with the Elevator servo. Carefully cut off the existing plug as close to the plug as possible. Discard the old plug after removing. 4. Carefully strip about 1/8 coating off the ends of all three colored wires. Try not to use too much pressure as you may cut through the entire wire. You just need to expose the raw wire. If in the event you do cut the wire, just snip off all three until they are the same length and strip the coating again.

5 5. Here is how one ready to solder/connect servo wire should look. 6. Take one ready to solder Spektrum JST plug and at this time, before you connect or solder, slide on one ¼ shrink tubing to each of the 3 wires. Now tap solder the wires for the Aileron and Elevator servos in this color coordination: Spektrum JST Plug Style JST side Orange to Servo Side Red JST side Gray to Servo Side Yellow JST side Black to Servo Side Brown For the ESC (throttle) Servo wire, colors as follows: JST side Black to Black JST side Orange to Red JST side Gray to Yellow If you are using any general servo plug for regular sized Micro or mini receivers, the colors like up in the same orientation looking at the plug with the metal terminals facing up from left to right. Red to Red, Black to Black, White to White. If your servo plug wires are Yellow, Orange, Brown, simply just match the colors to the servos. Carefully tap solder all 3 wires to one plug at a time.

6 *Option. For those that would not like to solder, you may use the strip and twist 2 sides of the wire together method as well. Be sure to secure will with shrink tube and if electrical tape is used, a drop of C/A (Super Glue) on each of the twist wire connections before electrical tape is used. Banana Hobby does not suggest this method, however it is an alternative to soldering. 7. This servo plug is complete after soldering. Note the shrink tubing is not affixed yet.

7 8. Now slide one shrink tubing at a time over the exposed soldered wire connection and apply heat with a lighter or hairdryer until the shrink tubing has shrunk to a tight fit around the wire. Be careful not to apply heat for more than a couple seconds at a time. 9. This photo shows an example of the color coordination if using a general servo plug.

8 10. Once you are finished with all 3 sets of servo plugs, this is how it should look. You are now ready to install the receiver, set up your radio and fly! 11. You are ready to fly! Banana Hobby would like to thank you for your patronage! Have fun and happy flying!
