2 Schedule 02 Electromechanical Energy Conversion Lab I current sharing-wise during testing for long life operation of the equipment. Transformer : This will be torroidal type transformer. The transformer will have tappings for varying the input voltage to desired value by means of rotary switch. Variac : It is a continuously variable voltage auto transformer having a movable carbon tip, fixed to brush arm sliding on a silver plated commutator. Rotation of the brush arm by manual rotation delivers an output voltage from 0 to or above line voltage by about 5%. Capacity : 20 Amp.
