From inding Fabric, cut: seven 2-1/2 strips Sew the urves Step 1: Pair each TEMPTE foreground piece with its TEMPTE background piece. Step 2: ith right sides together, match the centers. Pin at the center close to the edge of the fabric. lign the edge of the TEMPTE with the edge of the TEMPTE piece. Pin at these end points. Pin at least one more time between the already placed pins. Repeat for each pair. page 3

4 Step 3: Using a scant 1/4 seam allowance, stitch along the curve. t every pin, leave the needle in the DON position and raise your presser foot. Realign your edges and make sure everything is lining up. ower your presser foot and remove that pin. Take it slow and carefully. lign the edges as you stitch. Step 4: Move the sewn pair to your pressing board with the TEMPTE piece lying right side up. Push back the TEMPTE portion and use a seam roller or fi nger press the curved seam. ith right sides still up, press the TEMPTE piece back so that the seam allowance remains behind the TEMPTE portion. Step 5: Repeat for all thirty-nine units. Sew the Units Step 1: Place an unit on your table with the portion in the upper right corner, sew an piece to the bottom of fi fteen units. Step 2: ith the portion still in the upper right corner, sew an unit to the bottom of the fi fteen units from the previous step, as shown in the diagram overview, with the portion in the lower right corner. page 4

7 Sew the Rows for the ast olumn Step 1: Sew together a Y, and pieces as shown in the diagram overview. Repeat for a total of four Y units. Step 2: Sew together a Z,, and H pieces as shown in the QD. Repeat for a total of four ZH units. Step 3: Place an unit on your table with the portions in the upper right and left corners. Sew an unit to the left side, as shown in the diagram overview, with the portion in the lower right corner. Repeat for a total of four units. Sew a piece on the right side of each unit. Repeat for all top four units. Step 4: Place an unit on your table with the portions in the lower right and left corners. Sew an unit to the left side, as shown in the diagram overview, with the portion in the upper right corner. Repeat for a total of four units. Sew a piece on the right side of each unit. Repeat for all bottom four units. Step 5: Sew together the U,, V and D pieces as shown in the QD. Step 6: Sew together the UVD unit with a top unit as shown in the QD. Sew the J piece to the left side. Sew a Y unit to the bottom. This is RO1. Step 7: Sew together bottom, ZH and top units as show in the QD. Sew a piece to the left side. Sew a Y unit to the bottom. Repeat for RO2, RO3 and RO4. Step 8: Sew together an unit, R,, R and pieces as shown in the QD. Step 9: Sew together an bottom, RR from the previous step and as shown in the QD. Sew to the left side. This is RO 5. Step 10: Sew together the and T pieces as shown in the QD. Step 11: Sew together the O, S,, T and E as shown in the diagram. This is RO 6. page 7
