Two sets of templates are provided for the pieced and corner blocks, respectively. Be sure to use the correct ones when cutting the block pieces. 2. Paper piecing templates are also provided for quilters who prefer to construct the pieced and corner blocks using the paper piecing method. *** *From the fireworks panel print, cut for the quilt center, (1) 39 1/2" x 39 1/2" square, centering design. *From the Prussian and Aruba tonal/solids, cut for the pieced blocks, (16) B and (16) D pieces using provided pieced block templates. We are allocating 5" x 6" for (2) B pieces; 3" x 8 1/2" for (1) D piece. Also for the corner blocks, (8) B and (8) D pieces using provided corner block templates. Allocating 6" x 7" for (2) B pieces and (2) 3 1/2" x 9 1/2" for D. *From the Cherry and Deep Red tonal/solids, cut for the pieced blocks, (16) B and (16) D pieces using the provided pieced block templates. *From Indigo solid, cut for inner border #4, (7) 2" x WOF. Piece strips and sub- cut (2) 2" x 65 1/2" and (2) 2" x 68 1/2" strips. *From patriotic ribbon (Q4402), cut for the inner border #5, (7) 3" x WOF. Piece strips and sub- cut (2) 3" x 68 1/2" and (2) 3" x 73 1/2" strips. *From patriotic confetti (Q4401), cut for the pieced blocks, (1) 10 1/2" x WOF. Sub- cut (16) 2 1/2" x 10 1/2" rectangles. Also, (64) A and (64) C pieces using provided pieced block templates. For the corner blocks, cut (16) A and (16) C pieces using provided corner block templates. For the inner border #1, (4) 1" x WOF. Sub- cut (2) 1" x 39 1/2" and (2) 1" x 40 1/2" strips. And for the inner border #3, (7) 1" x WOF. Piece strips and sub- cut (2) 1" x 64 1/2" and (2) 1" x 65 1/2" strips. *From the fireworks (Q4291), cut for the outer border, (8) 4 1/2" x WOF. Piece strips and sub- cut (2) 4 1/2" x 73 1/2" and (2) 4 1/2" x 81 1/2" strips.

3 Constructing Pieced Blocks 1. Refer to block diagrams for print fabric placement, arrange and sew pieces together to complete one unit half. Make (2) unit halves. 2. Sew (2) unit halves to complete (1) unit.

Sew (2) 1" x 39 1/2" patriotic confetti strips to the opposite sides of (1) 39 1/2" x 39 1/2" square cut from fireworks panel print, followed by (2) 1" x

4 3. Add (1) 2 1/2" x 10 1/2" patriotic confetti rectangle on the bottom of unit to complete (1) block. 4. Make 4 blocks each, of the following tonal/solid/patriotic confetti combinations: Cherry Deep Red Aruba Prussian Quilt Top Assembly 1. Inner border #1. Sew (2) 1" x 39 1/2" patriotic confetti strips to the opposite sides of (1) 39 1/2" x 39 1/2" square cut from fireworks panel print, followed by (2) 1" x 40 1/2" patriotic confetti strips. 2. Inner border #2. Arrange and sew together (4) pieced blocks to make a pieced column. Repeat to make (2) columns, and add to the left and right sides of quilt center.

5 Arrange and sew (4) pieced blocks into a row unit. Notice the color arrangements below, because they differ. Add (2) corner blocks to the opposite short ends, as shown. Make a total of (2) pieced rows, and add rows to the top and bottom of quilt center.

3. Inner border #3. Sew (2) 1" x 64 1/2" patriotic confetti strips to the opposite sides of quilt center, followed by (2) 1" x 65 1/2" patriotic confetti strips to the remaining opposite sides. 4.

6 3. Inner border #3. Sew (2) 1" x 64 1/2" patriotic confetti strips to the opposite sides of quilt center, followed by (2) 1" x 65 1/2" patriotic confetti strips to the remaining opposite sides. 4. Inner border #4. Sew (2) 2" x 65 1/2" tonal indigo strips to the opposite sides of quilt center, followed by (2) 2" x 68 1/2" tonal indigo strips to the remaining opposite sides. 5. Inner border #5. Sew (2) 3" x 68 1/2" patriotic ribbon strips to the opposite sides of quilt center, followed by (2) 3" x 73 1/2" patriotic ribbon strips to the remaining opposite sides. 6. Outer border. Sew (2) 4 1/2" x 73 1/2" fireworks strips to the opposite sides of quilt center, followed by (2) 4 1/2" x 81 1/2" fireworks strips to the remaining opposite sides to complete quilt top. Finishing Instructions 1. With the backing fabric laying taut, place batting and then runner top to form quilt sandwich. Baste quilt sandwich. 2. Quilt as desired. 3. Square up quilt before adding binding strip, hanging sleeve and label.
