1 WRAP AROUND SKIRT by Erica Jackofsky FINISHED MEASUREMENTS To fit 27 (34, 42, 47.5, 52) waist measurement; garment is meant to be worn at natural waistline. 29.(29, 32 35, 36.5) length YARN Knit Picks Lindy Chain (70% Linen, 30% Pima Cotton; 80 yards/50g): Urchin 26456, 8 (9,, 4, 8) balls. NOTIONS Yarn Needle 4 Stitch Markers GAUGE 28 sts and 32 rows = 4 in Stockinette on smaller needles, blocked. NEEDLES US (2.5mm) 32 or longer circular needle, or size to obtain gauge US 2 (2.75mm) 32 or longer circular needle, or needle 2 sizes larger than working needle

2 Wrap Around Skirt Notes: This skirt is meant to be worn at, or just below, your natural waistline. If you prefer wearing skirts on your hips you may wish to size up and also note that the skirt hem will then fall lower on your leg. Add length to the skirt by working more rows between decrease rows in the shaping section. Shorten the skirt by working less rows between decreases. The Lace Pattern has both charted and written instructions. If using the chart, read the charts RS rows (odd numbers) from right to left, and WS rows (even numbers) from left to right. Special Stiches 6-St Reinforced Buttonhole Bring working yarn to front and slip purlwise. Move yarn to back. *Slip. Pass the first slipped over it; repeat from * 5 times more (do not move yarn). Slip the last bound-off to left needle and turn work. Use a Cable Cast On and cast on 7 es as follows: *Insert the right needle between the first and second es on the left needle, draw through a loop, place this loop on the left needle; rep from * 6 times more (you cast on st more than you bound off), turn work. With yarn held back, slip the first from the left needle and pass the extra cast on over it to close the buttonhole. Work to the end of the row as specified. DIRECTIONS Lace Border Skirt is worked from the bottom up and will decrease to your waist measurement. With larger needles, loosely CO 439 (535, 599, 663, 695) sts. Change to smaller needles. Fold waistband and ties toward WS of fabric at the purl ridge and into place. The buttonholes should be aligned. Thread a tapestry needle with yarn and secure the buttonholes by working a whip around the opening. You will lace the skirt ties through the buttonhole when wrapping the skirt, so you want the buttonholes to remain aligned. 5 About the Designer Born and raised on eastern Long Island, NY, Erica Jackofsky grew up surrounded by the arts performing (playing fiddle, flatfoot dancing, and singing) and traveling around the country with her family band, The Homegrown String Band.
