2 ABC Baby Blanket Notes: This blanket is a classic nine block baby coverlet, worked flat in one piece. The borders are worked in garter stitch, while the blocks are worked in a combination of stockinette stitch and reverse garter stitch, as charted. Slight puckering may occur from one stitch type to the next, but will flatten out with light blocking upon completion. A Heart Top Chart Chart Block Chart When working the charts, read RS rows (odd numbers) from right to left, and WS rows from left to right. Knitted Cast On Begin with a slip knot on the left needle. Knit one st into the slip knot, sliding the knit stitch back onto the left needle.. *Knit one st into the knitted st and slide this st back onto the left needle. Repeat from * for desired number of sts. Stockinette Stitch Row (RS): Knit all sts. Row 2 (WS): Purl all sts. Repeat Rows and 2 for pattern. Garter Stitch Knit all sts, every row. Reverse Garter Stitch Purl all sts, every row. Star B Sailboat Chart Chart Chart Bottom Duck C Block Chart Chart Chart Directions Using knitted cast on method, CO sts.
