3 Fabric Needed King (98 1/2 x 98 1/2 inches) Color A (Red): 2 yards Color B (Royal Blue): 1 3/4 yards Color C (Purple): 1 1/3 yards Color D (Green): 3/4 yard Color E (Yellow): 3/4 yard Color F (Orange): 1 yard Color G (Light Blue): 5 yards Binding: 1 yard Backing: 8 3/4 yards Pattern assumes most width of fabrics are 42 inches. If you like to pre wash your fabric, you will want to purchase 1/4 yard more fabric to account for shrinkage. When you wash cotton fabric it shrinks. * See main pattern for Basic instructions Cutting Instructions King (98 1/2 x 98 1/2 inches) Color A (Red): /4 x 8 1/4 inch squares /2 x 7 1/2 inch squares Color B (Royal Blue): /4 x 15 1/4 inch square /4 x 8 1/4 inch squares Color C (Purple): /4 x 15 1/4 inch square 4-8 1/4 x 8 1/4 inch squares 4-7 7/8 x 7 7/8 inch squares /2 x 7 1/2 inch squares Color D (Green): 8-8 1/4 x 8 1/4 inch squares 4-7 7/8 x 7 7/8 inch squares Color E (Yellow): /4 x 15 1/4 inch square 6-8 1/4 x 8 1/4 inch squares Color F (Orange): /2 x 14 1/2 inch square 8-8 1/4 x 8 1/4 inch squares Color G (Light Blue): /4 x 15 1/4 inch squares /4 x 8 1/4 inch squares /8 x 7 7/8 inch squares 4-7 1/2 x 7 1/2 inch squares Binding: /2 inch x width of fabric When cutting your fabric, I suggest cutting the larger pieces out of the yardage first, then cut your smaller pieces. 4 Making your Flying Geese King - Each combo you will need: /4 x 15 1/4 inch and 4-7 7/8 x 7 7/8 inch squares You will need one of each of the following combos: C/G, G/C, G/D, and E/G You will need 2 of the B/G combo Use the main pattern for construction information. SKIP STEP 4 AND 5 Making your Half Square Triangles 1. You will be using the following size for the King size: 8 1/4 x 8 1/4 inch squares Match up your square combinations. You will need: 12 - G/A 18 - G/B 4 - G/C 8 - G/D 6 - G/E 8 - G/F Use the main pattern for construction instructions. Making your center block Use the main pattern QUEEN SIZE instructions. 6 Making the Stacked Flying Geese Blocks All 4 of your Stacked Flying Geese Blocks will need the 2 of the G/B flying geese. Follow instructions in the main pattern for the Queen Size quilt. Quilt Assembly Follow the main pattern instructions for sewing all your blocks together. You final quilt top will look like this.
