Launched in Including first European award dedicated to VR with five categories: Technology, Industry, Impact, Entertainment and Grand Prize. Featuring business networking platform MeetToMatch. Location: Potsdam (every November) and Berlin (every February, in the framework of EFM / Berlinale). Our goal is to bring the international community of immersive media creatives, business developers, technological masterminds and other superhumans together. It is 3 events in 1: MediaTech Con + CTPiX + VR NOW Con & Awards MediaTech Con focusses on technologies and business models of the media industry which apply for industry applications, start-up models and corporate structures. MediaTech Con features inspirational highlight speakers who cover a broad range of expertise. Changing the Picture Technology Conference (CTPiX) showcases the newest applications and expertise for technologies shaping content production and distribution for TV, cinema and internet. 6 Cinematic VR Showcase The Goal Movie theatres have significant national relevance as entertainment and media centers. Thanks to existing digital infrastructures in attractive and central venues there lies an opportunity to become the key player for new public experiences. After successfully adapting the modern distribution infrastrucutes such as DCP, now there is the chance to offer new 360 (VR-)content and technologies to new audiences. The technical setup, the content and the potential audiences are in place. It only needs to be combined smartly. Thus the VR NOW Con and Awards and the MediaTech Con offer the perfect environment to showcase what is possible in the world of cinematic VR. The Cinematic VR showcase offers a tailored program, explicitly dedicated to the needs of cinema owners, content distributors and technology-providers. Business Topics 1. Format The Cinematic VR Showcase complements the VR NOW Con & Awards. The fx centre Babelsberg will be equipped with 100 synchronized VR headsets.

7 Format The Cinematic VR Showcase complements the VR NOW Con & Awards. The fx centre Babelsberg will be equipped with 100 synchronized VR headsets. Screenings and talks will take place twice a day: Two 40 minute screenings in combination with a 10 minute impulse talk in each program section. In the exhibition area of the fx centre, providers will showcase their location based VR experiences and their solutions on how to display VR experiences to a movie theater audience. The volucap studio in the same building will offer a glimpse into the future of 360 video production.
