1 The Beta Pi Tattler Alpha State Texas - Beta Pi Chapter Area V - Chapter 64 Serving Brooks, Duval, Jim We!s and Live Oak Counties President s Message Elva G. Garcia, president A birthday is a special day that marks the number of years one has lived and reminds us that the gift of life is precious. It is also the time to celebrate one's growth, and development. A good thing about birthdays is the birthday person gets to make the rules for the day. Beta Pi was chartered on November 16, 1935 and has preserved it s history and adapted to the changes of time. Beta Pi is thankful for the many gifts of life our members have given to the chapter and we want to share our blessings with those in need. Therefore, this November the rules for celebrating Beta Pi s 77 th Birthday are to have fun and celebrate with a Brunch, Bunco and gifts for the Rainbow Room to fulfill the project, Light at the End of the Rainbow. Our next monthly meeting will be in February. We will have orientation for new members and some reports to be filed in January. May your Thanksgiving be blessed and may the Christmas Season be peaceful and joyful. Yours in Beta Pi, Elva November Meeting Saturday, November 10, :30 am Adela Navarro s home 273 North CR 470 Green Acres, Alice, Texas Note: Bring 2 separate lotto tickets for bunco Other Stories We Remember 2 Birthdays 3 Program of Work Project 4 Officer and Committee Corner November meeting agenda Committees 6 Send news and pictures for The Beta Pi Tattler to: Mellie Smithwick 1921 Helen St. Alice, Texas dsmithw_2@yahoo.com MISSION STATEMENT The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.
