1 VIEDA participates in "Women Striving for Success" conference on St. Thomas On October 25, 2013, the V.I. Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) participated in the first "Women Striving for Success" conference hosted by U.S. Virgin Islands Senator Janette Millin Young who is the founder and president of Women Striving For Success, Inc. This women's empowerment conference themed, "Defining A Path Forward!", was held at Frenchman's Reef and Morning Star Beach Resort on St. Thomas. The VIEDA was one of several Silver Sponsors of the event. During the summit, VIEDA's Assistant Chief Executive Officer / Chief Operating Officer Jennifer Nugent-Hill delivered encouraging remarks to the attendees while VIEDA staff provided information about the VIEDA's programs and services at their display table.
