Within the last few years we ve seen technology driving dramatic changes across industries from transportation to hospitality to healthcare. Companies across industries are facing the need to reinvent themselves or risk being disrupted by a new competitor. Finding balance between a company s heritage and future is critical in defining a successful path forward. At ebay our simple, sustainable business model bringing together buyers and sellers has given us the flexibility to navigate several commerce revolutions. This presentation will examine the top trends changing the face of commerce today, highlighting how ebay is reacting to each while staying true to our core purpose. Today's conflicts are wicked problems, designed to be managed, not won or lost, and the tools are smaller, lighter, and faster than traditional defense programs. The information realm is a major battle space and the democratization of tools once available only to sophisticated actors and the insertion of the private sector into realms once held by state actors, such as space and underwater, mean that frequent collisions are inevitable. This discussion will look at how the US Department of Navy is positioning for the physical/digital intersection and evolving strategy to support decentralized pockets of innovation and to incorporate technologies such as advanced manufacturing, unmanned systems, and emerging analytic capabilities. Emmanuel Lagarrigue is the Chief Strategy Officer of Schneider Electric and a member of its Global Executive Committee. He works closely with the CEO, the Board of Directors and his peers to define the company s development priorities. Emmanuel is also in charge of the Corporate Social Responsibility and the Government Affairs divisions. He also supervises several transformation projects impacting the company. Finally, he oversees Schneider Electric operations in South America. Emmanuel currently lives in the United States. Prior to his current assignment, Emmanuel Lagarrigue has held multiple operational and general management positions within Schneider Electric in Europe, South America, Asia and the United States.

Jason serves as head of global strategic planning for the Banana Republic brand inside the portfolio of Gap Inc., the largest American specialty apparel retailer with annual revenue exceeding $16 billion. In this role, he leads development of Banana Republic s consumer value proposition and global expansion plans, while also serving on Gap s Corporate Diversity & Inclusion Council. Mr. Schmitt was previously selected for the Chicago Council on Global Affairs Emerging Leaders Program and Crain's Chicago Business 40 Under 40 list. He earned an A.B., magna cum laude from Harvard College and J.D., cum laude from Harvard Law School. Why strategic execution fails: look first at ready, willing and able. Too often the strategy room stops with a battle plan, not an organization strategic engagement plan. Winning is compromised by focusing on a destination with corresponding results and plans. At Jack Inc the focus includes a deeper dive on the brands ability to ignite and sustain strategic intent from the front-line employee up, not the CEO or brand president down. In this session Mark will discuss how Jack drives strategic engagement and execution across the organization s eco-system by using a three-pronged alignment approach. Over 15 years, Teach For America became the top employer of top college graduates across schools from Yale to Berkeley to Duke to W illiams and the largest recipient of philanthropic support in K-12 education in the nation. Few nonprofit organizations reach the scale and impact of Teach For America, particularly at the pace it has grown. This session explores the lessons learned scaling a social enterprise that is channeling a generation of nation s most talented and diverse young leaders toward transforming public education.
