Thus far, our speakers have consisted of senior women leaders with many years of experience who have shared ways in which they sponsor, mentor and inspire women who are coming behind them. The voices of our emerging leaders play an integral part of this conversation. Join WELD for an engaging panel of some of our community s most successful emerging leaders featuring 10TV s Tracy Townsend as the moderator. Our panelists are: Lourdes Barroso de Padilla, Vice President, National Events, City Year Jacquie Bickel, Director of Business Development, Improving Kris Cannon-Jackson, Assistant Director of HR, Franklin University Sachiyo Isoda Peterson, Associate, Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLC Panelists will respond to the following topics based on walking in their shoes: What traits in leaders, mentors and sponsors do emerging professionals seek? How do you garner respect and lead teams when you are younger than those you manage? What are the advantages/disadvantages of staying longer at a company, in a job or in a career when the trend is for emerging professionals to change opportunities every 3 years? How have you successfully engaged in the community as an emerging professional? How did you gain credibility? 2 About Our Moderator Tracy Townsend Co-Anchor 10TV News Tracy Townsend co-anchors the 5:30 p.m. edition of 10TV News with Scott Light. She also anchors 10TV's noon newscasts. Tracy is 10TV s Medical Correspondent covering health issues affecting families including breakthroughs and helpful tips for families. In addition, she works with 10TV Productions on Toward A Cancer Free World which is a weekly segment featuring the world-renowned experts at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. The segments are somewhat personal to Tracy as she is a breast cancer survivor. Her journey began in the fall of 2010 at the same time she was starting to lead 10TV s political coverage. A firm believer that once you re told of your diagnosis, you become a survivor, Tracy began aggressively researching and advocating for her health and healing. Townsend is a staunch advocate for mammography as her own cancer was discovered early allowing for aggressive treatment and recovery. She believes and follows the guidelines that women should get mammograms every year starting at age 40, for as long as a woman is in good health. Tracy is an outspoken advocate for women s health using several platforms to encourage women to make fitness a lifestyle, get yearly screenings and to engage in self-care. She puts this passion into action supporting Komen Columbus and its Race for the Cure. Additionally, Tracy hits the roads on her bicycle in Pelotonia, the grassroots bike tour aimed at raising money for cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. Townsend did her first ride after her surgery in 2011 putting in 25 miles. To date, she has participated in the effort, met fundraising goals, and completed the 100-mile Pelotonia route. Tracy led 10TV s coverage of Campaign 2012: Race for the White House. She has scored interviews with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Townsend and her team won several awards for their work including the prestigious Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Political Journalism in 2013 for their voter-education efforts preceding the 2012 primary and general elections. Townsend grew up in Cincinnati and is a graduate of The Ohio State University. Before joining WBNS-TV, Tracy worked at WBBM-TV in Chicago, KCTV in Kansas City and WKRC-TV in Cincinnati. She s an Emmy- Award winning news anchor, a Fellow of the Association of Health Care Journalists, a 2017 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards winner. Tracy is an active graduate member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA). She is also active in The Links, Incorporated, an international, not-for-profit corporation that is one of the nation s oldest and largest volunteer women s service organizations. Tracy, her husband, Murvin Enders, III and their son, Ian, are proud to call Central Ohio their "adopted" hometown.

3 Lourdes Barroso de Padilla Vice President, National Events City Year Lourdes Barroso de Padilla has an extensive background in youth development and leadership. She has served with City Year, an education focused organization dedicated to helping students and schools succeed for more than 20 years. Lourdes has helped to found five of City Year s twenty eight sites across the country, and has worked at all levels of the organization. She is a certified Youth Development Trainer and was awarded the Hewlett Packard Alumni Leadership Award in for her impact and service to the organization. Lourdes is a graduate of Project Diversity, Leadership Columbus, and the Academy for Leadership and Governance Executive Fellowship program. She has served as a Commissioner with the Ohio Latino Affairs Commission, as a founding member of the Create Columbus Commission and as a board member for Directions for Youth and Families and as a member of the United Way s Education Impact Council and Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Currently she serves as the Director for the Latina Mentoring Academy a unique professional mentoring program for Latinas in Central Ohio in addition to serving as the President of the Board of Directors for the Latino Empowerment Outreach Network (LEON). Lourdes was featured in the inaugural editions of The Women s Book and Who s Who in Latino Columbus as well as WELD Ohio s Women Welding the Way Calendar. She has been honored as one of Business First s 40 under 40, and was named a Distinguished Hispanic Ohioan by the Ohio Commission on Latino Affairs. Lourdes is a bilingual first generation Cuban-American who was born and raised on the eastside of Columbus and is a product of the Columbus public school system. She resides with her husband, Ernesto, and daughters, Eva and Valentina in Eastmoor.

4 Jacquelyn Bickel Director of Business Development Improving Jacquie brings over 14 years of experience in sales, customer service, and professional leadership. Jacquie currently leads Business Development for Improving's Columbus based subsidiary. Since joining the Improving leadership team, revenues at Improving (Columbus) have more than doubled. In addition, the company was named to the Fast 50 in 2014, 2015 and In 2015 Jacquie was a recipient of The Stevie Award for Executive of the year for women in technical business. Jacquie is also passionate about learning and growth, she s a certified instructor of Franklin Covey s The Speed of Trust. In the business community, Jacquie serves on the Membership Engagement Committee for the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, a member of WELD (Woman for Economic and Leadership Development). She serves on the Board of Directors for The Ohio Girl Scouts, a founding board member and Chair for Conscious Capitalism Columbus, and Board of Directors for New Directions Career Center. Jacquie was also a recipient of Columbus Business first 40/40 class of 2017.

5 Kris Cannon-Jackson, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CTA Assistant Director of HR Franklin University Kris Cannon-Jackson has a professional background in business management and human resources, with a passion of helping to engage employees in the workforce. When she is not at her day job at the Franklin University, she can be found lending her talents to many endeavors. Kris is the Member Relations Coordinator for the nation s largest young professionals organization, the CYP Club, and she's is Board Chair of CYP's 501c3 organization - Columbus Inspires. Kris still finds time to volunteer at many events throughout the City, sit on the Ohio HR (SHRM) Conference Committee, and is very active in WELD Women for Economic Leadership & Development. Kris has earned an MBA with a focus in Human Resource Management and Leadership, and she has a Bachelor s of Science in Organizational Leadership and Business Administration from Franklin University. She has earned the distinguished designation of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Currently, she is exploring her options to continue her education in law. When Kris finds the time, she loves to travel and experience new adventures. She always jokes and says she works just to support her cruising habit. (Hey, there are worse things.)

6 Sachiyo Isoda Peterson Associate Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP Sachiyo counsels and assists clients in the highly complex area of immigration, nationality, and employer sanctions (I-9) law. She focuses her practice on employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visas for her clients global workforces. She helps clients maintain seamless business processes, including the attraction and the retention of international talent. Her practice spans various industries, including manufacturing, retail, universities, health care, and other corporations. At times, she also assists in family-based immigration matters. Her experience includes: Counseling clients on all major employment-based temporary and permanent visa categories. Advising clients on important immigration-related employment issues, such as employment eligibility, verification, and recordkeeping requirements. Helping clients establish new compliance programs, assess the effectiveness of existing compliance programs, and helping with on critical improvements. Helping clients plan strategically to avoid immigration-related problems. Sachiyo is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and is a past president and current board member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Central Ohio. Sachiyo is also a board member of the Japan-America Society of Central Ohio (JASCO). Sachiyo received her J.D. from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law. She received her B.A. summa cum laude from the University of Kentucky. Sachiyo is fluent in Japanese.
