3 Labor & Employment Law Update Scott S. Moore, Baird Holm Scott will cover the latest trends and developments from federal and state agencies, the Trump Administration's impact across a broad spectrum of industries, and offer predictions about future trends. Scott S. Moore regularly represents employers in various industries with respect to labor relations and employment matters, including personnel policies and decisions, labor negotiations, preventive planning, immigration, workplace investigations, workplace safety, equal opportunity, and the defense of employmentrelated claims. He has represented employers on labor and employment matters throughout the United States. Scott received his Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law, with high distinction in Scott is one of the few employment lawyers regionally who is a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, the premier peerselected organization of labor and employment lawyers in North America. Admission is by invitation only, after a rigorous screening process. Scott has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in the fields of Employment Law, Immigration Law, and Labor Law and was named the Best Lawyers' 2018 Labor Law Management "Lawyer of the Year" for Omaha. Lieurance, Baird Holm With the continuing expansion of technology, employers face unique challenges to assure their policies and procedures are both legally compliant and help minimize legal liability. This presentation will highlight some of the developing legal issues surrounding Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn use in (and out of) the workplace, and will include a practical discussion of what you can and cannot do in terms of regulating employee social media use. Kelli P. Lieurance is a partner who focuses on labor and employment law compliance, assisting employers with proactive, rather than just defensive, compliance efforts. Her practical approach not only offers clients a realistic view of their legal obligations, but also assists clients in implementing such obligations in a way that best suits their business needs. Kelli received her Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2005, where she was awarded the Justice Lloyd Kagey Leadership Award. While in law school she served as Senior Publications Editor for the Kansas Journal of Law: Public Policy and was a Student Bar Association Officer and Class President. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English, with honors and distinction, from the University of Kansas in Kelli advises and trains clients on general day-to-day employment issues, including those related to the FLSA, FMLA, and other federal and state regulations. She also advises and defends employers on EEO matters, and prior to joining the firm, served as a legal intern for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Office of Federal Operations, in Washington D.C. She develops and has successfully defended many Affirmative Action Programs before the OFCCP, and counsels clients on all aspects of Affirmative Action compliance. Kelli also focuses on the implications of technology and social media use in the workplace, and advises employers on how best to protect themselves. Additionally, she provides counsel to employers on payroll card implementation and e-pay stub use.

4 The Emergence of Tougher Pay Equity Laws Susan Tvrdy, Baird Holm Legislation across the United States is placing more pressure on employers to narrow pay disparities among men and women performing "comparable work." This presentation will highlight the new requirements placed on employers in various states and will provide a discussion of how to prepare your workplace for increased scrutiny under these laws. Susan K. Tvrdy focuses her practice on all areas of employment litigation. Her experience includes defending employers against state and federal claims relating to wage and hour laws, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, and tortious interference with contractual relations. She has also assisted clients in prosecuting and defending against breaches of non-competition, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure agreements. Prior to joining Baird Holm LLP, Susan worked at a major Boston law firm where she focused on complex civil litigation, particularly in employment matters. Susan received her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was granted a Dillard Fellowship in legal research and writing. Prior to law school, she served as a legislative aide to two U.S. Senators, providing policy advice on health, labor, employment, and education matters. Susan received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from Creighton University, summa cum laude. Reasonable Accommodations: Best Practices and Worst-Case Scenarios Sara McCue, Baird Holm Human resources professionals increasingly encounter questions related to the Americans with Disabilities Act. Not only are HR staff members expected to have a broad understanding of the ADA, but they are also expected to walk through the accommodation process with individual employees. This presentation will assist employers in understanding the reasonable accommodation process and utilizing best practices for the process. The presentation will also discuss unique case law developments in this area, covering fact patterns related to animals in the workplace, employee safety, and more. Sara A. McCue s practice focuses on employment, ADA, and fair housing law. She represents and counsels housing providers, property management companies, educational institutions, and the affordable housing industry. Sara received her Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2014, where she was the Editor in Chief of the Nebraska Law Review and President of the Multicultural Legal Society and Black Law Students Association. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Journalism in News-Editorial and Broadcasting, with highest distinction, in 2010.

Bob Foster, a Creighton University graduate, has over twenty years' experience in the financial service industry. Bob's expertise is working in the 401(k) and 403(b) retirement plan arena, helping plan sponsors meet their fiduciary obligations and maximizing participant outcomes. Bob's professional designations include Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF). In 2009, the industry trade publication 401K Wire listed Bob among the Top 300 most influential retirement plan advisors in America. Human Trafficking in the Heartland Anna Brewer Human trafficking is happening in the Heartland of Nebraska. This presentation will help you realize that sex trafficking happens in Nebraska, how to recognize the signs and how to respond. Anna Brewer was employed by the FBI for 24 years and held assignments in Washington DC, Reno, Nevada, and Omaha, Nebraska. As a Special Agent assigned in Reno, Nevada, Anna established and managed an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and established and managed a Child Exploitation Task Force to combat child sex trafficking. In 2009, she transferred to the FBI Office in Omaha, Nebraska, where Anna initiated and led the effort to establish and operate what became known as the Omaha Child Exploitation Task Force, a standing multi-agency task force dealing with sex trafficking and sexual exploitation of children. She currently is a Human Trafficking Training Consultant with the Women s Fund of Omaha and an Investigator with the Nebraska Attorney General s Office. She is here today representing the Women s Fund of Omaha Anna has trained over 19,000 law enforcement officials, prosecutors, advocates, health care providers, first responders, among many other groups throughout her career. Anna volunteers with various non-profit organizations and faith groups to educate the community regarding human trafficking. In February 2016, Anna was recognized by the Nebraska Attorney General, Doug Peterson, with the Nebraska IMPACT Award, for her efforts to combat human trafficking in Nebraska. In March 2017, Anna was recognized by The American Mothers Inc. as both the Nebraska Mother of the Year for Achievement and the National Mother of the Year for Achievement Anna was selected as a member of the Leadership Nebraska 2018 Class XI.
