2 Jacki Davis Journalist Jacki Davis is a leading commentator and analyst on European Union affairs. She is an experienced journalist, speaker and moderator of high-level events both in Brussels and in EU national capitals, the editor of many publications, a regular broadcaster on television and radio news programmes, and a Senior Adviser to the European Policy Centre think tank. 3 Werner Hoyer President, European Investment Bank (EIB) Born 1951 in Wuppertal (Germany), Dr Werner Hoyer has a PhD in economics from the Cologne University. He started his career as a senior research assistant at the Cologne University and soon became an associate lecturer in international economic relations he took on the position as Director of the Economics and Information Department of the Carl Duisberg Society, Cologne and 1987 became a Member of the German Bundestag where he stayed until 31 December During his service at the German Bundestag he held several positions; first as Whip and Security Policy Spokesman of the FDP (Free Democratic Party) Parliamentary Group, Deputy Chairman of the German-American Parliamentary Friendship Group and Secretary General of the FDP, before becoming Minister of State at the Foreign Office. In 2000 he became the President of the European Liberal Democratic Reform Party (ELDR), Brussels and also held the position as Deputy Chairman and Foreign Affairs Spokesman of the FDP parliamentary group. From 1994 to 1998 and then again from 1999 to 31 December 2011, he was Minister of State (Deputy Foreign Minister) at the German Foreign Office, responsible for Political and Security Affairs, European Affairs, United Nations and Arms Control and Commissioner for Franco-German Cooperation. He is President of the European Investment Bank since 1 January Jacek P. Krawczyk President, Employers Group, European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) President of the Employers' Group of the European Economic and Social Committee. Between 2010 and 2013, Mr Krawczyk served as vice-president of the EESC with responsibility for the budget. He is Vice-president of the Confederation Lewiatan, the largest organisation of private employers in Poland. Furthermore, Jacek Krawczyk is the EESC rapporteur for Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership and for numerous opinions on the aviation industry. He is a former chairman of the supervisory board of LOT Polish Airlines, an entrepreneur with many years' experience, a former board member and CEO of several banks and companies from various sectors of the economy.

4 Dana Reizniece-Ozola Minister of Economy, Republic of Latvia Dana Reizniece-Ozola is the Minister of Economic Affairs of the Republic of Latvia. She has been elected as a Member of the 10th, 11th and 12th Saeima of the Republic of Latvia and worked as the Chairperson of the Commission on Education, Culture and Science, Member of the Legal Affairs Commission and Member of the European Affairs Commission. There she came forth with the initiatives for the improvement of professional education quality in Latvia and protection of vulnerable consumers in the process of electricity market liberalization. From 2006 to 2014, Mrs. Dana Reizniece-Ozola was Advisor to the Board, Board Member and Head of Ventspils High Technology Park. Before that, she was the Board Member of a research centre and industrial investment company. She has also worked at the Ventspils City Council as the Head of the Investment Division. Dana Reizniece-Ozola has studied International Business at Häme Polytechnic University of Applied Sciences (HAMK), Finland; law at the College of Law and linguistics at the Ventspils University College in Latvia. She has got Professional Master's degree in Translation and Terminology acquired at the Ventspils University College in Latvia and Executive Master s degree of Business Administration acquired at the International Space University in France. Johannes Hahn European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Current duties: Since November 2014: Member of the European Commission in charge of European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations; Political career: : Member of the European Commission in charge of Regional Policy; December 2008-January 2009: acting Federal Minister for Justice; : Federal Minister for Science and Research. 6 Andris Ozols Director of Investment and Development Agency of Latvia With a background in mathematics and a degree in Business Administration, Andris Ozols became an entrepreneur as soon as the first business opportunities arose with the collapse of the Soviet Union. Mr Ozols has a diverse and successful business experience, working at first in the transport and logistics sector in his native Latvia and in Germany, before founding his own architecture and design company in Latvia. In 2004, he became Director of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), a government agency with the main mandate of attracting foreign direct investments to Latvia and increasing the export competitiveness of Latvian companies abroad. His dynamic leadership style has revitalised the activities of the LIAA and brought increasing recognition to Latvia. Mr Ozols is a member of the Latvian Seaport Council. Gagik Makaryan President, Republican Union of Employers of Armenia (RUEA) Gagik Makaryan is a doctor of technical sciences (degree gained in 1992), he has graduated the Yerevan State University (Department of Physics) in Dr. Makaryan is the chairman of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia since July 2011, and is an acclaimed expert in Armenia on small and medium entrepreneurship development. He is a member of two governmental councils chaired by the Prime Minister of Armenia the Business Support Council (since 2000) and the Coordination Council on the Public and Private Partnership Strategy and Sustainable Development (since 2008). He is a member of Tripartite Social-partnership Commission in Armenia led by the Minister of Labour and Social affairs of Armenia. Dr. Makaryan has published numerous articles and books on economic development issues (more than 50 articles and publications). He has taken a leading role in the strategic design of VET policy improvement in Armenia (since 2008), national policies on youth employment (2007); micro and small entrepreneurship (SME) development (since 2004); SME as a strategy for the return, reintegration and migration prevention (2006); capacity building for business productivity and competitiveness in Armenia (2005), etc. Dr. Makaryan has directed various projects since 2005 funded by the ILO, IOM, USAID, Eurasia Foundation, United Nations, Danish Refugee Council, etc. He has been a project manager for different economic studies. Dr. Makaryan has been a Lecturer in Economics and founder of the Masters Program on Entrepreneurship and Management of Small and Medium Enterprises at French University of Armenia (2004). He has been the speaker of more than 60 conferences and workshops organized by UNDP, ILO, World Bank, USAID, RUEA, etc. He is a member of Engineering Academy of Armenia.

7 Anatoliy Kinakh President, Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (USPP) Ukrainian politician and honorary professor at the Mykolaiv Government Humanitarian University. Kinakh is a former (long serving) People's Deputy of Ukraine. Kinakh currently serves as the leader of Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Ukraine. Previously, Kinakh was a Prime Minister from 2001 to 2002 under President Leonid Kuchma, a first vice-prime Minister, and a Minister of Economics of Ukraine. Since 1996 Anatoliy Kinakh has been the President of Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, non-governmental business organization. Education: In 1978, graduated the Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute as a shipbuilding engineer. Arnaldo Abruzzini Secretary General, EUROCHAMBRES Arnaldo Abruzzini is Secretary General of EUROCHAMBRES, the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry since He is a senior lobbyist in Brussels and represents the voice of over 20 million companies through members in 43 countries and a network of regional and local Chambers. He is also an active entrepreneur, having founded several companies. He still owns shares in Telecommunication (Interactive Media), Energy (InRes) and Business Consulting (Consir) firms. Mr Abruzzini has worked as Managing Director of several companies active in the Telecommunication (EPTA), marketing and communication (MediaCamere) and business advices (CoFiCom) in Italy and US. He has also been served in the financial sector, actively working in Investment Banking (MedioBanca) and Insurance companies (Bavaria). He has started his carrier as auditor in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1979 (Arthur Andersen) Born in Rome (Italy) on 5 August 1957, he is a graduate in Economy with major in Finance from the University of Rome. Heinz Olbers Director, Eastern Neighbours and Central Asia Department, European Investment Bank (EIB) Francis Malige Managing Director for Eastern Europe and Caucasus European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Responsible for leading the Bank s operations in Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. A French national, Mr. Malige joined the EBRD in February 2010 as a Director in the Financial Institutions team. Over the past four years, he has successfully developed the Bank s Financial Institutions business in the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe, Turkey and most recently in the southern and eastern Mediterranean. Before joining the EBRD, he was Managing Director for Corporate Development at BNP Paribas, focusing on bank acquisitions. His earlier career was in accounting and consulting, at Arthur Andersen and McKinsey & Company, where he served clients in industry, high tech and construction, as well as financial services. Gerhard Schumann-Hitzler Director for Neighbourhood East, Directorate General European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) Mr Schumann-Hitzler is in charge of implementing the overall EU Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) in the six countries of the Eastern Neighbourhood, of developing the EU s special relationship with these six countries and of designing and implementing financial assistance to these countries with a view to improving conditions for a sustainable economic, social and environmental development and promoting democracy, the rule of law, good governance and the respect of human rights. Mr Schumann-Hitzler joined the European Commission in After having worked in the Private Office of Commissioner Peter M. 10 Oleksii Miroshnychenko Executive Vice-President, Federation of Employers of Ukraine In July 2006 he was elected as Executive Vice President of the Confederation of Employers of Ukraine. Currently works in the Transport Team at the EBRD Headquarters in London as Senior Banker with responsibility for new business development and portfolio in the Western Balkans. Prior to this role, he was responsible for the EBRD operations in the transport and power sectors in Albania and implementation of the EBRD s renewable energy and energy efficiency programme in the Western Balkans. 14 Paul Moffatt Senior Counsel, Legal Transition, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Paul Moffatt is Senior Counsel to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) based at the Bank s headquarters in the City of London. Paul has been with EBRD since 2001 and, among other areas, is responsible for Bank s technical cooperation programme with respect to telecoms, information communications technology (ICT) and the knowledge economy, throughout the Bank s 36 countries of operation in central and eastern Europe, central Asia, and the southern and eastern Mediterranean. This programme supports and assists national level policymaking and regulatory authorities to develop best practise policy, legal and regulatory frameworks, and investor-friendly approaches, with the aim of maximising investment in, and benefit from, the digital economy. Prior to joining the EBRD, Paul served as legal and policy advisor to Ireland s communications and broadcast regulator. Paul is a barrister/advocate by profession and previously spent a number of years practising law mainly in commercial, technology and regulatory matters. Joost van Iersel Member, Employers Group, European Economic and Social Committee (EESC); President, Section for Economic and Monetary Union and Economic and Social Cohesion (ECO) of the EESC Joost P. van Iersel started his professional career in 1967 as a civil servant in the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Subsequently he was secretary of a Dutch Employers Association. From 1979 till 1994 van Iersel was MP (christiandemocrat), in particular responsible for trade and industry and EC-matters, amongst others also as President of the European Movement. From 1992 till 2002 he was chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of The Hague with a special interest for regional infrastructural and spatial development in the Randstad. Van Iersel acted as commissioner in several companies and was on the board of various social organisations. From 2002 he is Member of the European Economic and Social Committee. From 2006 till 2010 he chaired the EESC Consultative Committee on Industrial Change. Subsequently, he presided the EESC Steering committee Europe2020. Since April 2013 Van Iersel chairs the EESC Section EMU and Regional and Cohesion policy. His main fields of interest as a rapporteur in the EESC are industrial and sectorial policies, (European) metropolitan areas, and good Eurozone governance. Van Iersel gives lectures and writes articles on political economy and Europe.

In his career he had positions as CFO, Financial Controller and Corporate Finance/Recovery Consultant. For the past ten years Radoslav has been focused in the energy sector and had an opportunity to cover the South Black Sea basin - Bulgaria, Georgia and Turkey. He holds B.A. from University of World and National Economy with major in Defense Economics and also B.A. in Accounting and is holding and undr going an EMBA program from Cotrugli Business School.

Balás Head of the Support Group for Ukraine Péter Balás joined the European Commission in November 2005 and was Deputy Director-General in the Directorate-General for Trade until July Since April 2014, he has been nominated Head of the Support Group for Ukraine. From 2002 to 2005 he was Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Hungary to the WTO. Between 1994 and 2002, he was working first at the Ministry of Economy and later at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Budapest. He was appointed Deputy State Secretary for international economic relations in Péter Balás was also Director-General from 1991 to 1994 in the Ministry of International Economic Relations in Budapest. In the period he worked in Geneva as Deputy Head of the GATT Representation of Hungary.
