2 Trustees The Trustees are responsible for the general control, management and administration of the trust. The responsibility for the actions of the company is vested in the Trustees of the Boleyn Trust (together, referred to as "the Trust Board"), who are the company directors registered with Companies House (they have a similar role to governors in a local authority-maintained school). The Trustees are personally responsible for the actions of the Trust and the Schools and are accountable to the Members, to the Secretary of State for Education and to the wider community for the quality of the education received by all pupils of the Schools and for the expenditure of public money. The Trustees are required, as trustees and pursuant to the Funding Agreements, to have systems in place through which they can assure themselves of the quality, safety and good practice of the affairs of the Trust.

3 Clive-Anthony Douglas Chair of the Board Clive was Chair of Governors of the Boleyn Federation for 8 years which consisted of Tollgate Primary School and Cleves Primary School in the London Borough of Newham. He is now Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Boleyn Trust. Clive has over twenty five years of working in the sports and business management sector as the manager for Leisure Facilities, sports complexes, libraries and parks for Greenwich Leisure and Westminster Council where he manages multi-million-pound business ventures with responsibility for over two hundred staff.

4 Tom Canning OBE Chief Executive Officer Tom has over 35 years teaching experience and was the Headteacher of Tollgate Primary School between Under his leadership, Tollgate was transformed from Satisfactory to Outstanding. Tom is a National Leader of Education and leads the Boleyn Trust Teaching School Alliance of over 40 schools across 7 London Boroughs. Tom is also an Ofsted inspector and School Improvement Advisor for Newham. In 2010 Tom was awarded an OBE for services to local and national education. Tom has a wealth of experience in supporting schools in challenging circumstances and for many years was one of the City Challenge Advisors for London.

5 Sarah Lack Sarah has been teaching for 22 years and is the Headteacher of Cleves Primary School having steered the school from Requires Improvement to Outstanding in a little over 18 months. Sarah is also an Ofsted inspector.

6 Patricia Regis Patricia worked for the London Borough of Newham for 28 years as a Senior Law Clerk. She has been a school governor and was Chair of Governors for 3 years. Patricia has worked as a Counsellor for Newham Victim Support on a voluntary basis and remains a Governor at Ravenscroft Primary School where she is currently the SEN link governor. She firmly believes that with talented committed teachers, a child's innate abilities, curiosity, and gifts will emerge.

7 Phillip Minns After completing 22 very successful years in the army, on retirement, Phillip moved into the property management and asset management business. Phillip has transitioned through this successfully over the last 8 years and currently holds the position of Residential Director for a very high profile brand. Phillip has a strong managerial background with senior level local and international experience and cross sector exposure with good strategic appreciation, vision and ability to build and implement sophisticated plans with a proven track record explicitly supporting business needs.

8 Rosemary Tehrani Rosemary was a primary school teacher for almost 40 years, the last 20 of which were in the London Borough of Newham and for most of that time at Rosetta Primary School where she became a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Rosemary remains a governor at Rosetta Primary where she was Chair for some 5 years. On being appointed a Trustee, she stepped down as Chair but remained a Governor. As such, working within a team, she has participated constructively in challenging and supporting senior leaders and helping to develop strategic vision. Rosemary believes this experience demonstrates her commitment to the education of the children of Newham. As a Trustee of the Boleyn Trust she continues to work collectively to ensure that they will continue to receive the highest standards of education within the vision and ethos ofthe Trust.

9 John Rolfe MBE John Rolfe MBE is the Schools Outreach and Engagement Manager at the British Council. Originally from Yorkshire, John studied at the University of Essex in Colchester and the University of Minnesota in the USA. He has a passion for the key importance of international education and has travelled widely and worked in a range of countries on educational projects. He has managed a number of educational programmes throughout his career at the British Council and developed and managed the flagship British Council International School Award scheme in the UK and also globally. His long term commitment to international education was recognised with an MBE in the 2018 New Years Honours List.
