2 BOB ROSENBAUM After ten years of running his fam ily s business, Bob Rosenbaum felt like it was time for a career change. Obviously I was unsure that giving up the business was the right thing to do, but my Father said to me that if I didn t want to do it anymore, I should shut it down and do some thing I loved. The only problem was; I wasn t sure what that was. I had a background in commercial real estate and my brother was in mortgage lending at the time. The guy who got him into it, suggested that I give it a shot as well. I knew nothing about that side of the business or finance at the time, but the company where I started had a great training program. I took the class and I immediately connected to the business. I just hit the ground running and I haven t looked back since. In just 11 years, Bob has helped over 600 families get into homes and has funded over a quarter of a billion dol lars in mortgages. He has been a top producing loan officer for the
3 past five years and before that, he was an Assistant Regional Manager for Access National Mortgage and helped manage and grow their region significantly, increasing production by 56.7 % in two years. In 2015 he brought his talents to Intercoastal Mortgage Company, where he serves as Vice President and Senior Loan Officer. Bob credits his remarkable success with his desire to truly help people. I get up every day with the goal of helping people when helping people is the focus the money takes care of itself. I like finding the right solution to fit each individual client s needs. Helping people reach their financial goals and using mortgages as a tool to do that, whether it s to put a child through college or figuring out a way for a client to buy a home for their aging parents, there s just a great deal of satisfaction in helping people figure out financial solutions to complicated situations. I especially love helping my

5 clients achieve their dream of homeownership. This approach is largely responsible for Bob s repeat business and referral rate which is over 90%. Outside of work, Bob and his hus band are very active with animal rescue. They have five dogs themselves and have fostered/placed over twenty dogs in forever homes. They give of both their time and money to Dog World Rescue, a local rescue organization based in Alexandria, VA. Additionally, they avidly sup port Our Daily Bread, an organization that offers assistance to families in need. Bob has also served as a Board Mem - ber for the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce and is a member of Northern Va Association of REAL TORS (NVAR), National Association of Gay & Lesbian Real Estate Professionals (NAGLREP) and Mort gage Bankers Association of Metropolitan Washington (MBAMW). But it s not just Bob s devotion to his clients during the transaction that has accounted for his remarkable success. He keeps those relationships
6 going long after the transactions are done and has become a staple in the community. I don t disappear when the sale is over, in fact an awful lot of my clients end up becoming great friends. I throw an annual end of summer pool party and barbecue where clients/friends/family/referral partners all come together as one big community. I was raised here and have deep roots in this community, people know me, they know my family, and they know they can count on me. This community of clients, friends, and partners offers me the resources to provide great referrals to other professionals everything from doctors to plumbers. I like to be a connector and always want to give more than I get, after all - building a community is what home ownership is ultimately all about.
