Whats the topic or business you want to tell a story about? Example: Relationship Coaching Your Topic/Business:
4 2. What s the 3 problems you re solving for your customers? Example: a. Loss of passion b. Withdrawing from the Relationship c. Knowing whether he/she is the right one Your Customers 3 Problems: 3. Whats the core problem your customer is facing? Example: Withdrawing from a relationship Your Example: 4. What's the core benefit you want your story to convey? Example: I can get the passion back. Your Example:
5 5. What s the Message of The Story? Example: 3 reasons why people withdrawal in relationships and what you can do to get the passion back. Your Example: 3 Reasons Why and what you can do to. REASON # 2 Story avoids selling and telling your customers what to do and allows them to experience your product in advance (through the characters eyes.) Cracking The Story Code: Now that you have a message you have to tell a story that conveys that message...and the most powerful and clear message will be revealed when you decide to dive deep into the character of your story (YOU) If we know the character in the story, that makes the story personal AND if the story is personal, the more universal it becomes...the more universal it is the more your story will spread and connect with the hearts of your ideal customer.
6 1. Do you want to tell your own personal story or someone else s? I suggest you tell yours first to see how personal you can get. For Example: If the relationship coach above wants to tell their own personal story, they will tell a story about getting their passion back...because that was the core benefit we discussed in the earlier section. If the relationship coach wants to tell someone else s story they will tell a story about how a client or a friend got their passion back. By Identifying the story you want to tell, your MESSAGE will grow stronger and stronger. Not only can we get into the head of the character but we can get into the heads and hearts of your customer. Story makes it real. Anything else is just an illusion. Brainstorm your ideas for your story right here:

8 2. What s the positive outcome of the story? Example: The relationship coach got her passion back with her boyfriend. Positive Outcome of Your Story:
9 3. What do you want your client to do or feel at the end of the story? (Story should elicit feelings that eventually lead to actions) Example: The Client feels hope or inspiration or decides to take action and call her boyfriend. WARNING: No one wants to hear about a story such as...i had a boyfriend and we got our passion back...because thats a boring story, which leads us to the next question Your Example:
10 4. Whats the dilemma of the story? The dilemma is that the girlfriend withdraws and continues to ruin relationships...will it ever change? She was abused as a child and is afraid to experience real intimacy. They are constantly fighting and verbally abusive but deep down they love each other. Do you see how we are starting to get some juice to the story? NOTE: Juice is what sells stories Fill in the dilemma of your story below:
11 REASON # 3 A Good Story Creates Powerful Emotion...AND Powerful Emotion Creates Action and Attraction With Your Customers. 1. Have You Decided on the story you want to tell? (this is your starting point) 2.
