2 1 Hi there, TIME TO BUILD THE BRAND CALLED YOU Thank you for joining me on my mission to build the best Personal Brands and Best Talents out there! my name is Petra Zink and I'm passionate about helping high flyers making an impaccct - through CLARITY on your strengths, what makes you You-ique and is in line with your values COMMUNICATING your premium value clearly to those who matter CAPITALISING on your strengths with confidence When I started my journey of building my Brand I didn't even realise that I was doing it. I spent 10 years in a corporate Marketing career, climbing the ladder but always felt burnt out and unhappy, no matter what status and income I reached. No matter how big the goals that I was achieving, I still felt there was something missing; I doubted if I was good enough because everything felt like hard work and nothing was easy. It made me realise that this career probably wasn't meant for me, even though I was working so hard in and for it for so long. It wasn't until I entered Recruitment - more by accident rather than choice initially - that I discovered that there is a way of combining my passion for working with people coupled with my interest in marketing and wasn't just a job that pays the bills but a career I strive for and am excited to get up everyday and do. Applying my marketing knowledge in a different way - by consulting rather than by executing, by applying it on people who I'm passionate about and where I can make a real impact on rather than on products that serve a short term pleasure - made me realise the secret formula to a - what I consider - truely successful career: earning good money whilst enjoying every second of doing it and feeling that I have 'arrived'. I was successful straight away which obviously gave me a massive confidence boost. To be honest, I needed it after feeling burnt out and unsuccessful for so long. Success grows success - so this was when I decided to 'go all in' and start coaching high flyers 1:1 to uncover what makes them unique. My mission is to help you get clarity on what makes you YOU based on your values, experiences, expertise and passions so you can not only capitalise on it but create a career that is fulfilling because of the feeling you get from doing it. Gaining the clarity on what only you can do the way you do it is what gives you the confidence and with that, the competence to go for bigger and better roles and challenges. I want you to own your Brand!

4 3 5 STEPS TO BUILD YOUR B R A N D I N G is the way others perceive you and the feeling they associate with you Personal Branding is NOT about YOU. It is about how you make others feel by the problems you solve for them in a way that resonates with them but is authentic to you We buy on emotion and justify with logic.

5 4 Your brand is your reputation. It s your calling card. It s what you re known for and how people experience you. It s about bringing who you are to what you do and how you do it. Delivering your brand clearly and consistently will create a memorable experience in the minds of those you interact with and can open doors to new opportunities.

Getting a promotion, stepping up in your career,stepping in a new industry, attracting co-founders, investors, clients, getting (inter)national speaking gigs... What do you want to be known for? What do you want people associate with you when they think of you? Think of values that are important to you (see next page).

9 8 Clarification avoids Confusion What problem/question do people often come to you with? Getting a promotion, stepping up in your career, stepping in a new industry, attracting co-founders, investors, clients, getting (inter)national speaking gigs... What strengths and skills came up over and over again? What would others say about you? Which personal attributes associate your friends, family, peers... with you?

11 10 Out of both exercises, the attributes you want to be associated with and the ones that you think people in your life associate with you, write your top five strengths on the spaces in the diagram below. For example, you might use words like creative, relationship-builder or make the complex simple YOU 4 5

12 11 Power of your Story. 84% People buy of People because of their Why, not their What. Your story is the most powerful asset you have. It cannot be duplicated. Only you have the experiences, gifts, talents and expertise. When you share your story you connect with your audience on a very deep personal level allowing them to relate to you. To trust you. When they trust you they will want to do business with you. Your story allows you to connect with your target audience. People who need to hear your experiences and how you came out on the other side of it. Your ideal client is YOU, your past self. You 2+ years ago. YOU, but 20 steps behind. When you share your story you connect with the person wondering around lost. You show them why you are the person to help them because you have been right where they have been.

13 12 Power of your Story. What is the ONE SuperPower you have? This is the time to brag about yourself. Don't hold back - it's your time to shine. Own it! What is it that you do in a very unique way? What do others compliment often on? What do you want people associate with you when they think of you? Think of attributes that are important to you (see next page) What is it that you could talk about & listen to until the cows come home? What are you passionate about? What is it that grabs your attention every single time? What is it that

14 13 Personal Brand Statement A brand statement is like a personal mission statement. What do you WANT to be known for? What are you CURRENTLY known for? How do you want to be introduced?

15 13 Ready. Set. Go. Now you know your strengths, what makes you You-nique and the value you can bring to others as this is what you will get paid for. This is the starting point for you to take the next step - identify your audience, your approach to get in touch with them and your ongoing engagement strategies and tactics to get seen and stay top of mind for when it comes to your area of expertise! Great things come from Actions. Not Thoughts. So start communicating your value to your audience to establish trust and with that, a relationship which will get you to where you want to be.
