1 Genealogy Report of Alejandro Lorenzetti Tarabelli My name is Donald Martin Mattos Lorenzetti, Mattos is my paternal surname, and Lorenzetti my maternal surname. For years my maternal family and I have been doing research on our italian ancestor in order to claim our right to italian citizenship, his name was Alejandro Lorenzetti and his profession, according to notarial books in Peru, was Agricultural Farmer. He was born in Italy sometime between 1849 and 1851, and there are no records in Peru about where in Italy he was born or from. He died in 1915 and lived in a small village in the north of Lima, he married 3 times here in Peru (religious catholic marriage), and all the Lorenzetti in Peru are either descendants of his first marriage or third marriage (my family descends from the first marriage). Death Certificate In his Death Certificate, the information that shows is the following: Alejandro Lorenzetti,of Italian origin, son of Nicolas Lorenzetti and Maria Talaveri, died on February 15th, 1915, at the age 66, he died of a liver decease. So according to this information, he should have been born around 1849, his maternal surname is Talaveri, which is a spelling mistake as since in his marriage records it shows as Tarabeli. His Marriage Certificates and his Children's Names Alejandro Lorenzetti married 3 times: First marriage We descend from his first marriage. So far we haven t been able to find the his first marriage certificate. He married Justa Rey, and had his first son born in Peru on June 2, 1878, with her, at the age of 28, which put his year of birth around 1850 and, according to his baptism certificate, named him: Alejandro Isac Lorenzetti Second Marriage Then the first wife dies, and marries Mrs. Emilia Fernandez on December 26, 1883 in the church of Chancay. She dies shortly after marriage, there are not known descendants of that marriage. In this marriage certificate, it says that he is single and his parents names are Nicolas Lorenzetti and Maria Tarabeli, he was 32 years when he married this time, which puts his year of birth around 1851 in this case. Tarabeli is an anagram of Taraveli, and it is found only as Tarabelli in Italy and it is very rare. Third Marriage Later, in the Church of Sayán marries Margarita Marquez, on May 15th, 1889, at the age of 36, which puts the year of his birth in Italy around Also, in this marriage certificate it mentions that he had been living in Peru for 16 years, so that means he emigrated to Peru around Also, in this marriage certificate it says that his parents names are Nicolas Lorenzetti and Maria Tarabeli. From this marriage he had the following children: Male children: Matias Isac Lorenzetti Marquez, born on April 05, 1909 in Sayán Isaac Nicolas Lorenzetti Marquez, born June 3, 1899 in Sayán Female children: Adelina Lorenzetti Marquez, born in 1892 Maria Esther Lorenzetti Marquez, born in 1896 Zoila Lorenzetti Marquez, born in 1901

2 Alejandrina Lorenzetti Marquez, born in 1904 Belissa Lorenzetti Marquez, born in 1907 Rosa Lorenzetti Marquez, born in 1911 Basilicata and the Year of immigration 1873 According to the Memoir of The Ministry of Interior of Peru of 1874 and the Official Government Newspaper El Peruano (November 8 th and October 18 th of 1873), there were, between 1872 and 1873, 200 italian colonists in the Basilicata Region willing to emigrate to Peru. From those 200 italians, 150 were brought to Peru with travel expenses paid by the peruvian government: 90 were men apt for Farm labour, 20 women, 20 children of both sexes and 20 artisans approximately. So everything points that my ancestor was within that crowd. 3 On the other hand, remember he named all his male children Isaac or Isac. The name Isaac or Isac, is extremely rare in the 1800's. According to the website Ancestry.com, most of the Isaac names at the time belonged to Evangelical people with english surnames in origin. However, the only few Isaac names found in their database for that period that have italian surnames are in Lombardi region, specifically the Comuna di Como Most of them have italian-jewish surnames like Mazza or Mazzini Also, according to the same website Ancestry.com, there is a presence of Tarabelli and Lorenzetti surnames in Lombardia, specially in the Comuna di Como, in the late 1800's. 4 Rumors about his origins According to the testimony of his last grandchild living grandchild (now deceased), he was or came or sailed from Ancona (also, there is a town called Ascona in the Swiss italian side, near Lombardia) and came or sailed from a place called Maderus, which we suspect it might be Matera or Maratea or Matellica. There are no military records of him in Ancona as I asked for it a few years ago and results came negative. ANCESTRY AND Y-DNA TEST Ancestry DNA was taken from Maria Lorenzetti (4 th generation), and Y-DNA test was taken from Renzo Lorenzetti (5 th Generation), and Donald Mattos (son of Maria Lorenzetti, 5 th generation).
