2 You re Nearly There Congratulations, you ve nearly finished your NCUK programme! Read on to find out all you need to know about what happens next and how to confirm your university place When will my results be released? Once you ve sat your exams, your results will be released to you by NCUK. The exact date for this depends on which centre you re studying at, so make sure you confirm this with your student counsellor. GUARANTEED ACCESS Your universities will receive your results a few days before you do, so they have time to check them over and see if you ve met their conditions. How do my universities receive my results? NCUK Universities: These universities receive your results automatically, so you don t need to worry! Universities Outside of NCUK: You or your Centre will need to send your results directly to the universities once your final certificates have been released. This may mean that it takes a bit longer to have your final place confirmed with them. Remember: No matter what happens with your results, if you ve passed your course NCUK will guarantee you a place at one of our excellent universities! TO UNIVERSIT Y

3 What happens after my results are released? Your Conditional Firm choice becomes UNCONDITIONAL You have met the requirements of your university, and your place is confirmed. Your Conditional Firm choice offers you an ALTERNATIVE COURSE (or Change of Course) You have not met the requirements of your original offer BUT they can give you a place on a different course. You can choose to accept this or turn it down and go to your Insurance choice instead. Your Conditional Insurance choice becomes UNCONDITIONAL you have not met the requirements of your firm choice and it has become unsuccessful, but you have met the requirements of your insurance choice. You enter CLEARING You have not met the requirements at your Firm or Insurance choice, and neither can make you an offer for an alternative course. This is where NCUK steps in to help you find a place at another university.

4 What is NCUK Clearing? If you don t get in to your chosen universities, don t worry! As long as you ve passed your programme, NCUK guarantees you a place at another of our universities through a process called Clearing. NCUK Confirm the offer with the university GUARANTEED ACCESS WORLDWIDE STUDY TO UNIVERSIT Y NCUK enters you into Clearing OPPORTUNITIES 2 You receive an from NCUK explaining the offers you have been made. 4 5 Congratulations, you have an unconditional place at university! 1 NCUK universities take a look at your application and decide whether to offer you a place. 3 You choose to accept or decline the offers, and notify the NCUK Placement Team.

5 My University Place is confirmed and I have an Unconditional Offer. What do I do now? Make sure you keep checking your s and follow any instructions from the university. Once your place is confirmed, your university will need to issue you with a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) so you can apply for your visa. Each university will have different steps that you must complete before you can receive your CAS. Some will ask you to: Submit documents including your Passport and undergraduate degree documents. Submit copies of your bank statements. Pay a deposit and send proof to the university. Note that some universities will send you a CAScheck . You will need to carefully check the information provided on the pre-cas and respond to confirm your details before your CAS can be issued.

6 FAQs 1. When are my results released? This will depend on where you are studying. Check with your student counsellor for confirmation. 2. I ve been rejected by my Firm choice, but really want to go there. Can I apply through Clearing? If you ve missed your offer and haven t been made an alternative offer by that university, then they usually won t consider you through Clearing. If you need some help deciding what to do next, contact the NCUK Placement Team who will be more than happy to help. It s so important to keep in touch! You can contact the NCUK Placement Team at any time to discuss any questions you might have. NCUK WORLDWIDE UNIVERSITIES 3. I ve met the academic conditions of my offer, but I ve missed my EAP grades. What happens now? Some universities may allow you to take an IELTS or other approved English Language Test as proof of your English Language abilities. Speak to a member of the NCUK Placement Team, who will be able to check this for you. 5. I haven t sent my results to my universities. Will they definitely receive them? Absolutely. You don t need to worry about this NCUK and your study centre will take care of this for you!
