4 4 about us We are a team of architects and graphic designers based in London, specializing in 3d modeling, visualization and graphic design. Since 2009 we have been providing our clients with range of services, ranging from photorealistic computer generated images to brochures, presentation boards, logo design and brand identity. During this time we have worked with many wonderful creative individuals and teams. Each project was special to us and we have learnt something new from every single cooperation. 22 22 There are many factors that make 3d rendering a good piece of work. It does not always need to look photorealistic. It needs to show a character of a space. Bright cosy residential interiors, cold high-tech designs, stylish loft conversions - each project has its own unique character. We look at each view with architect s eye. Composition, colours, lighting, position of the camera, quality of textures, furniture, equipment... They all need to match. Sometimes a single image needs to sell a whole project and therefore there is no room for mistakes. We always work very hard and in close relationship with our clients in order to produce a view that emphasizes all strongest design ideas of their projects, that explains their intentions and tells the unique story of their design. We advice our clients on image style and together we select an appropriate presentation technique, depending on the purpose of the image production and the audience or potential customers.

29 29 3D plans and sections Three - dimensional sectional views can be useful, especially for complex projects and for presentation or marketing materials targeting audience with non - architectural background. Such images can give better feel of space and help understand spatial configuration and individual room sizes.

30 30 photomontage In some cases the most efficient way of visualising proposed changes to existing buildings, their elevations or interiors, is creating a photomontage. Interior photomontages are time saving particularly with large commercial projects, where only a small part is being re-designed. An image on the right is an example of a situation, where only one unit in a shopping centre has been let to a new tenant, therefore the quickest way of illustrating the change was replacing that particular shopfront using a photograph of existing shopping mall. Creating a 3d model and photorealistic visuals of such large space would be much more time consuming. Photomontages can be equaly helpful when it comes to showing a new building or proposed changes to elevations of existing building in context of neighbouring properties. Such views are often required to form part of a planning application.

33 33 BLACK AND WHITE SKETCHY VIEWS The quickest way of illustrating a project. Images with visible linework are often produced when it is important to show a work - in - procress perspective, a proposal that is not finalised and should not look finished. Such visuals aim to iniciate discussion rather than present a completed design to client. We provide Sketchup models as well as images, to allow architects develop the massing and use them for further studies of their design ideas. Copyright AHMM

34 34 white conceptual models White models are like diagrams. Such views aim to present initial idea (or few ideas), when a project is still in early stages. Sometimes such views are created more for architects themselves, rather than their clients, simply to test various design ideas. Sketchy language of white models, with limited amount of textures, but with clearly shown geometry, should help avoid questions on areas of the project that have not been decided yet, but are still to be designed. free - hand sketches Free-hand sketches leave even more room for imagination. Good quality drawing, even a very simple sketch, should arouse positive emotions and make people see what they want to see in a drawing describing even potentially controvercial design idea or complex project.

Nowadays fly-through animations or slideshows such as PowerPoint presentations are essential parts of marketing strategy. Exhibition stands must have an integrated screen with animated content and a tablet with fly-through movie is a nice-tohave gadget that always makes good impression on potential client during meeting. Static PDF presentations (PDF books displayed on screen) can be the best way of presenting a project as they allow easy jumping between pages and in the end can always be printed as hard copies, so no need to do the work twice: a brochure + a PowerPoint presentation. Interactive PDFs allowing to spin 3d models without the need of installing any 3d software are also within our compatibilities.

Websites should these days include blogs and their news sections have to be updated regularly in order to attract new customers and also to prove continuous development, show current projects and maintain interest from new clients. Company Facebook pages are becoming more frequently visited than actual websites and should be updated with new eye-catching content at least on weekly basis. 58 58 photography Many architects are passionate about photography. For us photography is not just a hobby, but an essential part of our service. We specialize in interior and exterior photography and are capable of taking high quality photographs using professional equipment, from wide angle to telephoto zoom lenses. Photographs for eye-level perspectives, such as photomontages / computer generated images are taken by us. Drone photography and bird s eye views are usually outsourced. Interior photography and product photography is also provided by us. Filming, often required for animations and movies, is usually outsourced. We will always try and work with photographs and films provided by yourself, if only you wish us to do so, however, sometimes the resolution or general quality of such materials may not be sufficient. who we provide this service to Photography is required for computer generated photomontages, however we are often hired by estate agents and ordered to take photographs of residential and commercial interiors. This might be a more efficient way of working for some designers. We understand that and therefore are keen on sharing our knowledge and experience with those who want to learn how to create 3d visualisations. We created a Sketchup Guide, a manual focused particularly on architectural visualisation. It contains clear explanation of how this program works as well as useful tips how to deal with complex geometry, how to keep the file size small and how to get the best out of this powerful, affordable and easy to learn 3d modeling application. We can come to your office and conduct the training at your premises, or, alternatively, we can hire a training room nearby you for your convenience.
