1 My Town (Unit 2) REACH FOR THE STARS 5 1. Read. Preberi. The Eiffel Tower is in Paris. Paris is the capital city of France. You can travel there by aeroplane, train or car. Over two million people live there. The Eiffel Tower is 324 metres tall. It s brown and made of iron. It is called the Eiffel Tower because of its engineer, Gustave Eiffel. A lot of tourists visit the tower every year. They can climb the stairs or use the elevator. There are three platforms on the tower. There are shops and restaurants on it, too. It s full of lights at night. For the first ten minutes of every evening hour you can see it sparkle with thousands of lights. Find the word or phrase that appears in the text above. Unit 7: Annie cuts off the dragon s head so Tim has to colour his head green. Unit 8: Nina, Michael, Tim and Annie go to the swimming pool and carry the Olympic flag and flame. Unit 9: Nina goes on her holidays by car and ferry. Tim goes on his holidays by plane and Michael goes on his holidays by bus.
