1 Pirate Consequences Remember playing consequences as a kid? Just like Treasure Trails, the classic games never grow old. It is international talk like a pirate day on Friday 19 th so get your friends and family together to play Treasure Trails rib-tickling pirate themed consequences (with a twist!). All you need is a blank sheet of paper each, a pen, a dice and a good impersonation of a pirate! How to play This game can be played with 2+ players. Sitting around a table, ensure everyone has a printout of our Pirate Consequence Treasure Map sheet (or a blank sheet of paper if you do not have a printer) and a pen in front of them. 1. On your own piece of paper, at the very top, write a pirate related adjective for a man (this can be one or more adjectives. e.g. fearsome, swashbuckling). 2. Fold over what you have written so that it cannot be seen, and all pass your pieces of 3. Under the fold on the paper, write a male Pirate name (this could be you or anyone you know make sure that you use our Pirate name creator below). 4. Fold over what you have written so that it cannot be seen, and all pass your pieces of 5. Next, write a pirate adjective for a woman (If using a blank sheet of paper, write met at the start). 6. Fold over what you have written so that it cannot be seen, and all pass your pieces of 7. Again fold over what you have written so that it cannot be seen, and all pass your pieces of 9. Next, you need to write where they met - think Piratey and again, if you are using a blank sheet of paper, make sure you write met at at the start of the sentence. 10. Fold over what you have written so that it cannot be seen, and all pass your pieces of 11. Next, you need to write what he wore - again, think Piratey - and if you are using a blank sheet of paper, make sure you write he wore at the start of the sentence. 12. How to Create your Pirate names Use this little tool to create ye own (and ye friends and family s) Pirate names for your game of Pirate Consequences. Your Pirate name has three parts as follows: First word: Find the month ye or ye friend or family member were born. Write down the name associated with this month: January - Big February - Long March - Blue April - Jolly May - Red June - Cold July - Green August - One September - Black

3 October Rotten November - Ugly December - Danger Second word: Find the last number o the year ye or ye friend or family member were born 0. Boot 1. Belly 2. Bottom 3. Leg 4. Ear 5. Mouth 6. Tooth 7. Lip 8. Foot 9. Eye Third word: Insert your chosen name (use either ye own name or a name of one of ye friends or family members) How to read out your Pirate Consequence story: Once you have created your pirate consequence stories, we need to get you into character. Using dice the outcome will dictate your distinguishing pirate feature and your distinguishing pirate characteristic. Roll the die Roll 1: The resulting number is your distinguishing feature as follows: 1. You lost your left leg in battle so stand on your right leg whilst reading your Pirate 2. You lost your right eye in battle, so cover your eye whilst reading your Pirate 3. You have a hook on your left arm; make sure everyone can see your hook whilst reading your Pirate 4. You lost your right leg in battle so stand on your left leg whilst reading your Pirate

4 5. You have spent too long at sea and you are a little sea-sick and can t stop swaying whilst reading your Pirate 6. A fearsome pirate, you are always grinding your teeth so make sure everyone can see this whilst you are reading your Pirate Now, roll the die again Roll 2: The resulting number is your distinguishing characteristic as follows: 1. You are an old sea-faring pirate, so speak with authority whilst reading your Pirate 2. Your trusty parrot on your shoulder repeats everything you say, so you must say everything twice whilst reading your Pirate 3. You re a little bit of a stereotypical pirate, so make sure you say Arrgggh at the end of every sentence whilst reading your Pirate 4. You re a little fresh-faced pirate, so make sure everyone can hear your young and squeaky voice whilst reading your Pirate 5. You re a posh pirate, so make sure you talk like one whilst reading your Pirate 6. You re an over excitable pirate, make sure your enthusiasm and tendency to exaggerate a little comes out whilst reading your Pirate
