2 Marjorie Garcia Barnes Marjorie Garcia Barnes is a Venezuelan jewelry designer and instructor. She has been working with a variety of techniques from metalsmithing, Precious Metal Clay, and beading for nearly 30 years. Her current passion, after studying the techniques of Sherry Serafini, is bead embroidery. Marjorie has been teaching Mathematics and Jewelry Design for the past 25 years. Carol Cypher Carol Cypher, a professional fiber artist focusing on felt making and beadwork, is known for her provocative pairing of the two mediums. Ms. Cypher teaches workshops throughout the U.S.A., Australia, Germany, the U.K. and Japan, and her work is exhibited and widely published in these places. Her first book, HAND FELTED JEWELRY AND BEADS: 25 ARTFUL DESIGNS enjoyed a couple printings and is now declared "out of print". Her book MASTERING BEADWORK: A COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO OFF-LOOM TECHNIQUES is a compilation of 63 original projects that provide a full and rounded repertoire of beading stitches. In HOW WE FELT: DESIGNS AND TECHNIQUES FROM CONTEMPORARY FELT ARTISTS, Cypher shares tips and technique of 20 felt artists, herself included. When asked to write a book on felt making for the Japanese publisher Patchwork Tsushin Co., her English manuscript was translated into Japanese by Motoko Natsubori and published October She has shared her techniques on PBS, DIY and HGTV television networks in addition to workshops and classes worldwide.

3 Amy Katz Amy Katz starting beading in 1993 to nurture her creative side. As she learned more and more about seed beads, her love for the art grew. Through the years she has taken classes and taught her own projects and methods. It has been her dream to start a "bead boutique." Now a reality, Amy presents Bead Journey, a company that offers her unique and personal view on beadwork. Taking her love of fine jewelry to a new level, Amy's designs revolve around the "high-end" jewelry store look using quality seed beads, crystals, pearls and more. The goal is to create jewelry pieces that will have everyone taking a second glance yet can be created affordably. 5 Details/Costs: What s included? Price includes the cruise fare, including tax, port charges and government fees. Two full days of instruction with two instructors of your choice. Each instructor will teach one full day of classes. One or more projects may be offered by instructors. As soon as you have secured your deposit for the cruise, we will contact you to register for your preferred classes which are offered on a first come first serve basis. We will have photos of projects with descriptions of the projects and supply lists and kit costs on our website.
