2 THE CONTEMPORARY CRAFT MARKET AT NOTTINGHAM LAKESIDE ARTS 2 4 NOVEMBER 2018 Lustre is the premier annual selling opportunity for contemporary, innovative craft in the midlands. Exhibiting here is your chance to reach the discerning crafts consumer and to tap into the lucrative pre-christmas gift market. Lustre provides an exceptionally high-quality retail experience. It attracted over 3,000 visitors in A comprehensive marketing strategy ensures a consistently high profile for the event amongst key identified markets, and it is successful in attracting both regional and national press coverage. Lustre prides itself on providing the highest standard of support for participating makers, ensuring that your work is shown at its best. We invite you to apply to take part in Lustre 2018 and welcome applications from makers working in all forms and materials including metal, jewellery, ceramics, glass, wood and textiles. We welcome applications from makers who would like to share a table. The selection panel meets in April 2018 and consists of Lakeside gallery staff, invited curators and crafts specialists. The selection is based on the following criteria: quality of conception and realisation work produced in a contemporary idiom the need to achieve a balance of media and pricing across the market. EXHIBITION STANDS Lustre exhibition stands (height 71cm, table-top surface area 68.5 x 180cm), designed by Fiona Davidson, are available to all exhibitors*. Exhibitors may bring display units to sit on top of the Lustre exhibition stand or replace it entirely using their own display systems, however, the total ground floor area occupied should not exceed the surface area given above. * Lustre exhibition stands consist of a trestle style table with an off-white felt cover detailed with toggle fastenings at sides. Each stand is accompanied by a standard lamp with maker s name on the shade. FEES Standard Exhibitor: VAT Concessionary rate for new makers (graduated in last two years): VAT Young Meteors 2017 Alumni and Hothouse VAT We charge an entrance fee of 5 for a weekend pass, under 16s are free.
