3 1 - INTRODUCTION Starting Profile: The company was founded in 1925 by Mr. Mario Crosta, a pioneer in Italy in the development and construction of machinery and systems for finishing and ennobling fabrics. Mario Crosta was the first Italian producer of raising and shearing machines. Mr. Marco took the heritage of managing the company, while Massimo and Laura took their charges into specific departments. 3

4 2 - The Group - In 2007, after ten years of production of sueding-brushing machines (for the so called peach-skin effect), Mario Crosta decided to acquire the first world inventor and producer of these kind of machineries, a leader and specialized competitor, LISA. This acquisition allowed Mario Crosta staff to join and merge the technologies applied in this field by the two companies, giving the birth to one of the most technologically advanced system to produce the best peach skin effect at the highest production speeds and the lowest costs. Having reached the highest levels of worldwide coverage in the traditional sectors of raising, shearing and sueding face finishing machines, Mario Crosta went on expanding its interests and knowledge into near sectors. - In the late 2008, acquired a company called MP Engineering, leader in the technical textile field of bonding and lamination machines, studying and producing flame lamination, knife coating, powder scattering, and hotmelt projects. Under the name of MARIO CROSTA GROUP, the owners kept the companies separated, until 2011, when all the companies were merged under a unique company bringing synergies. 3 - The Staff 4

12 8 - ASSOCIATIONS Mario Crosta is proud member of the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers - ACIMIT. Its main purpose consists in promoting the Italian textile machinery sector and supporting its activity, mainly abroad, through the most updated and innovative promotional means, constantly improved during its more than 60 years of life. In order to promote the Italian textile machinery knowledge throughout the world, ACIMIT gives any kind of information on the activity of the producers and organizes a wide range of promotional activities (such as exhibitions, technical seminars, missions in Italy and abroad, etc.) most of the time in collaboration with ICE (Italian Trade Commission). Another ACIMIT major aim consists in informing its member companies about commercial, financial and technical problems which can be found in the different markets in order to facilitate their entry. Furthermore, in the late 1991, was one of the two founders of CEAM (Northern Milan Export Consortium), which nowadays associates a highly qualified group made up of 20 SME non-competitor textile companies located in a vast industrial area around Milan. The CEAM companies together develop a turnover which exceeds 450 million Euro a year, with a work force of approximately employees. CEAM s objective is to provide adequate support for exports through highly diversified promotional activities aimed at highlighting machinery and accessories for the textile market.
