3 Print out on cardstock. Cut out and have you student color the paper doll so that it looks like your student (hair color, eye color, skin color, favorite clothes, etc.).

11 Print on colored card stock. Write child s idea of a dream outing or dream vacation as well as why the child would want to go there. You can store the tickets in pocket or use a brad to make a fan of tickets. (attach bottom ticket to lapbook)

15 My Helping Hands Make a handshaped book: On a piece of cardstock, trace around your left and right hands with fingers together. (like picture) Do not cut the hands apart but make a book by folding between hands and cutting around the outside of the hands on 3 sides (leaving folded side uncut) On the outside write: My Helping Hands (can draw lines of fingers in) On the inside write how you give of yourself: Examples: Prayers for family and friends Hugs to Mom and Dad Chores in our home- load dishwasher, take out trash, pick up after myself Play with little sister Read to brother Pet and feed our dog Help our neighbor Save money for the poor Write letters or make crafts for grandparents My Helping Hands This will be a memento of size of hands as well as record of the ways you help.

21 Cut out as one piece. Fold on three vertical lines so that cover is on top and book is shaped like a house. Cut flaps on solid lines. My room is My House Where do I live? 22 things I would like to do when I grow up Print on card stock. Have child write a few things he/she would like to do when they grow up. Number the things as you go. Print the total number of things at the top of the arrow. Cut out and accordion fold so that the top of arrow is on top and you lift upward to reveal writing. Can add length to arrow if needed. Glue to back of arrow Glue back of the tail end to lapbook
23 Cut out book as one piece and fold on dotted line so cover is on top. Cut out all pages of book on solid lines. Stack left side pages, and stack right side pages. Pages will be stapled inside book onto back page, on both the right and left sides. Stagger pages so that they open every other way, ie: left page, then right page, then left page, etc. Have child glue clipart onto appropriate pages. These are a few of my favorite things

29 Print out on card stock. Color and decorate birthday cake. Use the number of candles for how old the child is. Suggest printing/writing that number on the front of cake. (if 6 years old make a large 6 on front of cake and color and add 6 candles.)
